  1. My FFH has done this twice now. Both were turning into my driveway. The first was a few months ago I believe and it was such a lurch that for a moment I wondered if I had been rear ended as I turned into my drive. I'm usually in EV+ at this point and my road is paved but my drive is gravel. The road goes downhill but the drive is more flat. It happened again two nights ago and I thought I was going to go into the culvert. That kind of acceleration/lack of braking will get your adrenaline going like nothing else. I'm not amused. It is a definite safety issue. I'm taking my car to the dealer next Thursday but after reading this thread I don't have a lot of hope. I stop when I pull into my drive to get the mail so I'm not sure how fast I am going but it's not fast by any stretch. If the dealer can't find an issue then I will log the issue on the NTSB site.
  2. I wish it had a larger gas tank. I feel like I filled up my Camry less often and even though this costs less money who wants to stop at the gas station? Plus the first quarter of a tank is gone in 10 minutes. I'm sure it is a settings thing but sheesh, scare a girl why don't you? My Fuelly settings say I got 45 mpg the last fill up on avg so I am happy.
  3. I took mine in to get gear shifter changed and dealer said the grease down the side of car was not from them. They had not added any axle grease or any grease at all. All they did was take off the left front tire. They had another car in the shop with the same problem. I am not sure what they did but it is quieter thank goodness. Now I just wish the voice commands worked. Me-"Dial Bob". Car-"Dialing Matt". Me- "stupid fing car"
  4. I think when I took my car in they added extra grease to the axle because I find grease slung down the sides of my car. Not pretty! Also took car to beach last weekend and even on flat drive at 60 mph to 65 I could not get the mileage I get in town. I worked and worked to keep it in EV. Good thing I don't travel much or I really would be pissed. My review is at www.movedtothecountry.com
  5. My fusion hybrid started doing this 3/30 around 650 miles. Took to the dealer this last week and they said it is a known problem and called the hotline. They would have to get back to me with a final solution. The engineers are supposed to be working on the problem. My dealer said he thought the axle needed replacement and it would be a recall thing. I tweeted Ford for help and got voice mail message this morning stating my dealer will be in contact with me. I understand if they are trying to find the root of the problem and I am fine with that but everyone who hears a noice like the ones described should take their car to their dealership. This problem needs to be logged in and addressed and people should be vocal about it. The noise in my car was a popping that I thought was engine related. As I slowed coming to a red light in EV it would make a knocking sound at the very slowest speed. Then when I ease off the light slowly it pops again.
