I think a hold button would be great but set it at 1/2 a bar. Not full Electric power. For the best mileage at least on flat ground accelerate hard at 2 - 2 1/2 bars up to 5 or 10 mph over the limit then drop to ev and glide at 1/2 bar or less until your speed drops to about 5 under and the other cars start catching back up to you that you left at the lights. Then mash the throttle again at 2 - 2 1/2 bars and repeat. 50 mpg is easy using this method and you don't have to be a slow poke. This method would be a lot easier if you had a hold button.

Easy way to prove it. Get in the car and start (tap the gas pedal to get the engine to start) it instead of using the remote. Then you will see how much fuel is being wasted. It is still not as bad as a non hybrid at least the battery is charging while it warms up but don't think for a second it is not using any fuel.

I just watched there review and was baffled by the fact that the fusion wasn't mentioned once. They compared it to the Prius and the Camry but never thought about the fusion. They also did not say what there real world mileage was. Strange. Anyone else watch the show?

It is the low beam lights. I think they are on at half power. They are off when in park and turn on when you go into drive. It does not matter what position the headlight switch is in. The power demand seem very small the power bar does not move when they turn on and off.

Just had my hyti in for its 5k mile service. They fix my clicking noise and turned on the DRL's at no charge. In other news my trunk falls down whenever the car is on an incline. Anyone else having this issue? They said they could order some stiffer tortion bars that would fix it. No big deal I guess but another trip to the dealer.

Anyone have any experience with Ford and the Hybrid Battery Warranty. Just wondering what would be considered a defective battery. If after a few years the battery only has 40% available. Would this be considered defective? What is the cutoff? The battery is covered by the 8 year/100K mile warranty but here is a quote from the warranty book The Lithium-ion battery (EV battery) will experience gradual capacity loss with time and use (similar to all lithium-ion batteries), which is considered normal wear and tear. Loss of battery capacity due to or resulting from gradual capacity loss is NOT covered under the New Vehicle Limited Warranty. See your Owner’s Manual for important tips on how to maximize the life and capacity of the Lithium-ion battery.

That is really good news. I haven't got my car yet but I can't drive 55. Sounds like I won't have to slow down much and can still expect good mileage.

From the GreenCarReports.com The Camry Hybrid blends a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor and a continuously variable transmission to deliver 41 mpg combined (39 mpg city and 43 mpg highway) in LE trim. Opt for the range-topping Camry Hybrid XLE, and the fuel economy dips slightly to 40 mpg combined (38 mpg city and 40 mpg highway) due to the car’s larger wheels and tires. I have not heard of Ford showing different mileage for the Titanium. Does this make sense to you guys?
