  1. I was checking them out online last week, they def have come a long way. The front grill reminds me a little of the BMW Z4. I'll keep it in mind. You mean all the issues you have been having? Yea I understand, and actually I'm ok with canceling. The ball will be in my court more when I go to shop around again later in the year, and will get to see what is on the horizon for the 2014 model.
  2. Thats the thing... it really is not that "important", but the issue here is the backlash from requesting something so minuscule that it lead to severing the relationship with the dealer. On their behalf no less! I think I will sit on this a week or so and bring it up again with the wife and go from there. The $17k I would save from not getting this car easily pays for the 7-9 MPG difference with our Jetta. Bah, and I was just getting fairly involved in this community!
  3. Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement. Attached is a DORA from another forum for reference. dora.pdf
  4. Well, just got off the phone with the dealer handling my HyTi order. Was emailing the salesman back and forth about adding NAV and Sunroof and what not. I asked about getting the DORA when they have it available from Ford, and was ignored on the initial request. I asked again, and was told "Not until car is built and a VIN number assigned." I found this a tad odd, as a DORA just shows the order was received by Ford... pretty simple stuff. So to save confusion... I figured I would call. Salesman answers promptly, I give a warm greeting back and explain that the DORA should be available fairly soon after the order is placed. He explains he gave me a print out of the dealer invoice... I said no... that's not what I am requesting. I ask again, he says let me talk to my manager (annoyed tone). I wait 3 minutes, he comes back and explains first that they don't know what a DORA is! Interesting. He then ask if I want the window sticker...??? This is where I become frustrated I mention to him they are one of the largest Ford dealers in my area, and you are telling me you do not know what a DORA is, and are not able to provide one with no hassle? He took offense somehow to this, and immediately asked if I wanted to cancel. This took me aback, I had to ask him who is the customer and who is the salesmen here... as it seems you're the one getting fairly upset while I am requesting something simple. He asked multiple times again about canceling, so because he so kindly suggested so... I did! Now starts the fun adventure of receiving my $500 deposit back. This is the second dealer also, the first gave me the run around on my USAA car buying service, and when I mentioned X-Plan they decided to not return calls (even with $1000 deposit which I did get back). FACK! edit: This is a rant post, sorry! cliffs: Dealer gave me run around on DORA, then attitude, then repeatedly asking if I wanted to cancel. So I obliged.
  5. Sorry about that, Northern Virginia. Technically Riggo is in D.C., but NoVA and D.C. are pretty much the same thing locality wise.
  6. Good to know! Thanks everyone for helpful discussion.
  7. Hope I get a coupon in the brochure I requested. Are there other methods to get the coupon?
  8. Soooo... Is the universal remote with the sunroof actually universal or only works with select openers?
  9. I was just checking this out yesterday morning. I was happy to see 2013 Fusion was an option for the digital fit mats. However, is the floor pan the same exact "mold" in the hybrids as the regular Fusions? They probably are, but I sent them an email asking to confirm anyway. Maybe some one here could confirm also.
  10. I agree, that's how it is on our Jetta, we were just trying to convince ourselves we wouldn't need it... But I think we would miss it if we didn't order it. Also, sorry to hear all the troubles you have been having! Hope everything works out. The SE I test drove had it and I was fine. I'm 5'10", king of the manlets!
  11. Fine... You've convinced me lol. I emailed the dealer and asked if I could add on sunroof and nav. :) Thanks!!
  12. Bah... That's really the only reason I want the moonroof, being able to vent is nice. As for the garage door opener... Would be nice... But I'll prob get one of those wifi connected openers that has an iPhone app. Thermostat is already wireless with an iPhone app, so why not! On the other hand I've always wanted built in nav that is seamless and reasonably reliable... But in 2013 it still seems like a distant fantasy. How often does Ford update the firmware/software (not map data) for MFT and/or nav?
  13. You know I haven't heard much talk about the Sony system... But it seems to be impressive! This has reaffirmed my decision to go with the FFH Ti.
  14. Hrm, I never thought about Richmond as an option. I hate "working" dealerships so I hope I got a fairly decent deal and the dealer treats me with a smidgen of decency.
  15. Thanks, this is good to know. My First time using our X-Plan. I am actually anticipating that the dealer will contact me sometime in the near future telling me they can't order one at this time if it is indeed true Ford is denying new orders. We will see. Good to know my adv fee is considered low! :headspin:
  16. The pricing was for out the door, which included $1000 in rebate (standard rebate and student rebate). Doc fee was $75, and taxes were ~$1000.
  17. Yesterday I placed my order for a FFH Ti, and I used my wifes X-Plan pin. I wanted to see what others were paying with X-Plan on a barebones FFH Ti. One thing that popped up yesterday was an "advertising fee" around $450 as well as the fuel charge which was $50. Apparently this is applied to all ford vehicles from the manufacture and cannot be changed. Is this true or am I being duped. This came up because the internet sales manager quoted me an OTD price of $29.9k and when I got to the dealership it changed to $31.3k.
  18. Hello! Just wanted to post in the welcome sub forum. After having a pretty sour experience with a dealership near me a few weeks ago, I finally made my way to a larger dealer in my area and placed an order for a 2013 FFH Titanium. I'm hoping the delay rumors are just rumors and I get it sooner than later, but I'm not holding my breath.:) I ordered it with out any options although I was on the fence about the sunroof and the nav package. I decided against them as I don't feel the sunroof warrants the extra cost (current Jetta has one, it's nice... but rarely use it. Plus I would rather have a pano-sunroof like the Lincolns so maybe in the future that will be an option on the next purchase). I have heard more complaints on the nav package than praise, so as much as I would love to have built in nav option... I left it off. Can anyone defend the nav feture and convince me other wise? I'm sure I still have time to convince the wife (beg/plead) and update the order. I am excite.
