  1. Anyone know if the replacement is covered by Ford if you have the extended warranty?
  2. I can also confirm that Siri Eyes Free works properly with my iPhone after installing iOS 9.3.
  3. I use Sync Services to get my morning info on my "favorites" like technology, weather, sports, etc. I have never used the operator assist function where I spoke to a human. This morning, when I pressed the voice button on my steering wheel and said, "Services", I was told my subscription was about to expire and to go to syncmyride.com to renew. At syncmyride.com, I was provided the option to renew Sync Services for $60 a year. I don't believe it is worth the $60 a year.
  4. A thought occurred to me yesterday while fumbling to plug in my iPhone via USB cable, if I wanted the hassle of plugging into USB instead of using Bluetooth with Siri, I could just use the "Hey Siri!" command instead of the "Siri Eyes Free" button on the steering wheel. http://www.apple.com/ios/siri/
  5. I noticed this was posted on my owner.ford.com page: My owner.ford.com site still does not show that I updated to 3.8 or even that it is available for by '13 hybrid. Still shoes me "up to date" with 3.6.2.
  6. I successfully installed the Sync 3.8 update a few weeks ago. I have an iPhone 5S running iOS 9.2 that I have used with my '13 HyTi since I bought the car. Here are some issues I've encountered: * Holding down the voice button on the steering wheel for three seconds will occasionally result in Siri ending instead of starting a session * After successfully connecting to and using Siri via eyes free, my car's audio system connects via Bluetooth to my phone, playing the Sirius app, even though I was not using Bluetooth for audio prior to my Siri eyes free session.. This has resulted in me unknowingly listening to Sirius through my phone instead of the Sirius subscription in my car, and incurring large data usage through my wireless carrier. * After starting my car, pressing the voice button quickly, and then stating, "Services" to access my Sync favorites will result in a message stating that Sync was unable to connect to my iPhone, even though the screen on MFT shows it is connected to my iPhone. Anyone else experiencing issues with v3.8 that did not exist previous to the installation?
  7. After reading the article in Friday's USA Today that Ford will be upgrading MFT in all vehicles back to 2011 with Siri Eyes Free, I came here to this forum to find out what everyone's experience was. The Ford Owner's site said I was up to date with v3.6.2 on my 2013 HyTi. After reading IraF's post with the downloadable file, I prepared my memory stick and successfully upgraded Sync to v3.8. I now am able to use Siri Eyes Free. Thank you.
  8. The Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus tires are $219 each at Tire Rack. Considering these for my 19" H-spoke rims. Any feedback?
  9. Anyone try the Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus? $219 each at Tire Rack and they are LRR.
  10. It's April now and like I said in my previous post, I used the A/C for the first time since October 2014 when we had an 80 degree day last week. That same musty odor came shooting out of my vents as soon as I turned the A/C on. I'm not going to use the A/C again until I bring it into the dealer so they can get a whiff of that foul smell. I'm due for an oil change soon and need some other warranty work done, so it won't be too long until I can report back if the dealer refuses to perform the TSB work again!
  11. There was supposed to be a feature where you could plug in a USB Internet stick and provide a hotspot in your car. I have such a stick for work, but could not ever get it to work. The two sticks I've had in the almost two years I've owned my HyTi both were not "compatible" with MFT. I started a thread a while ago discussing my attempts to get it to work. http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/6622-usb-internet-stick-so-my-ford-touch-creates-wifi-hotspot/
  12. I got a letter from Ford today regarding the "IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL" 14S21. Here's the gist of the letter: The airbag light on my '13 HyTi is not illuminated.
  13. I received a call from Ford Customer Service Manager who explained that the dealer has to verify that I have musty odors coming from my cooling system. She offered to set up a service appointment to do so. I explained that I have not run the A/C in some time, since it is now October here in Upstate NY and will likely not be running to A/C again until April 2015. The CS Manager said to make an appointment in April when I am running the A/C regularly and leave the HyTi overnight so the Service Manager can smell the musty odor. When I voiced a concern over my warranty going out of mileage by April 2015, the CS Manager said she would extend my warranty free of charge. She then quickly recanted when she remembered I was in NY and said she couldn't do that in NY state. I'm still upset that they had my vehicle overnight twice during my last trip for service and couldn't verify the odor.
  14. My HyTi is at the dealer right now and they are refusing to perform TSB 140099. I posted my story in the TSB thread before I found this thread. I also sent Crystal a PM. Brought my HyTi in to the dealer I purchased my car from for an oil change, PCM update, navigation offset, remote start blows cold air, and the musty odor when A/C is activated. Called on Tuesday Sept 16th for an appointment and was told they were booked until the following week. Made appointment for Thursday, Sept 25, dropped HyTi off at dealer at 5pm on Wednesday, Sept 24 with a specific list of the issues and associated TSB numbers. No call from dealer on Thursday at the end of my work day, so I called them. "I was just about to call you", says Kirk at the service counter. Let me send a car to pick you up, which he did. When I arrived at the dealer, my HyTi was on the lift in the shop. Kirk tells me he wasn't going to be done with my HyTi today, so he will provide a loaner ('14 Fusion SE). I have planned a trip this weekend and want to take my 41mpg HyTi, so I call Kirk at 10AM Friday morning to see when he will be done. Kirk says he will be done with everything except the musty odor A/C issue. When I ask why, he said he couldn't replicate the issue and would not perform the work. I told him that the smell happens on initial startup after sitting for a while. He said I never told him that and refuses to perform the work. I told Kirk that I was getting the feeling he didn't want to do the work because it would take about 7 hours to do. Kirk claims he could not replicate the smell, we proceed to get into a "discussion" on how I can smell it, I'm the customer, and I would like it fixed. Kirk refuses to perform the work and says I will have to leave my car there for a few days so he can replicate the smell. I told home that he has had the HyTi for two days now, he should have found the smell. He said I could pick up my car in an hour, without the "musty odor A/C" work completed.
