Can anyone tell me where this is located on a 2013 fusion HY and or how would a tech access it to reprogram it? Thanks in advance

Jmagg73 started following Why is the undercarriage made from cardboard!?
-
I have a 2013 FFH with 58k miles on it, and lately a rattle I've noticed only at high speeds (65mph +) has been getting worse. I look underneath the car and see 2 huge holes in the undercarriage. I guess the wind shoots up into the holes and vibrates the cardboard. I tapped it to see if it was loose and to make sure it was my noise problem. It was, but I notice it was also very flimsy and felt like hard cardboard shipping material. How can this possibly be!? I'm no engineer, but I know what rain, gravel, and salt can do over time. I took two pictures... First was a friends 2014 Fusion SE, and second was my 2013 Hybrid. (Notice the flap of paper-like material still dangling) Soo pissed Would this have a chance of being covered on my extended warranty?

I have same issue. Starts around 60mph and intensifies the faster you drive. Very noticable driving on a windy day. Told the dealer and they couldn't hear anything, but they don't drive it everyday like I do.

Rattle coming back. Fix was temporary. Bringing back to dealer this week.
-
They fixed the rattle on the pillar on both sides of the vehicle. All rattles are gone. Not sure if they fixed the high speed rattle when they inspected the panels or trim on the car or if fixing the passenger side pillar cleared the rattle. No problems yet.

Rattle from passenger side door/right side dash area....
Jmagg73 replied to rvlasek's topic in Interior Q & A
Ive had the pillar rattles into the shop 3 times. They first thought it was the seatbelt assembly and it still rattled soon after. Then they re-welded some points in the drivers side and rattle was gone again. (This was only because it was winter and the car interior shrunk up enough to erase the rattle). It came back as soon as the weather started getting warm. The rattle occurs where the black and white plastic pieces on the pillar come together. If you press your hand on this area the rattle will stop. The dealership put some rubber between the trim. Silence!! -
Yes rattle happens always above 60. I checked for loose pieces but didnt find anything. Called the ford Dealer that is the authorized Ford Body specialist and service dept didnt pick up the phone after four attempts by the switchboard person. Will try again today.

I'm getting a rattle on the passenger side of the Fusion Hybrid when hitting speeds above 60mph. Becomes louder the faster i drive. On very windy days I also hear a flapping noise at those speeds. Has anyone else experienced this? Im reluctant to take it back in since Its already been there for a rattle between the drivers front and rear door. They took over a week to fix that 6 months ago and whatever they did has come undone and it is back too. It was a real headache.

Yes yes passenger door speaker does that. Very noticeable when tuned to A.M. Stations. The deep male voices voicing the news set it off.

Yesterday the temp reached 93 degrees and my drivers side blind spot mini mirror came unglued and now just flops there on a tab.... Should I re glue or take to dealer?

Love the car, but my pet peeves are: - large gaps on vehicle doors and overlapping trunk do not get cleaned going through a car wash. - glossy area around drink holders gets scratched up easily. - radio should allow different bands of favorites on one preset group. - armrest too far back for smaller drivers. - inputting a destination in navigation is not simple at all. Let alone saving it in a favorite folder. - touchscreen at too steep an angle so it usually gets glare. - closing trunk rattles the license plate. - path of windshield wipers may wipe a bigger percentage of the windshield, but the wiper arm really can limit visibility.

Make sure you turn on the ECO cruise control in the settings. I went from 38 to 42mpg in a snap.
