Don't worry you will get used to the ACC. It's in all of my Ford/Lincoln cars. I wouldn't buy another car without it.
-
You can tell from the exhaust it's a 2.0 EB.
-
I bought mine out of a wrecked gas Fusion. The complete kit was $175.00 and included everything including the foam tool caddy. This was on ebay and included the shipping.

I've bought both Weathertec and Husky's. For the last few cars I've bought Aries 3D mats. For my money they are superior to both.

That panel behind the door handles is a PITA. I had the door handle recall done and I've had to replace all four panels. The tips on the backside break off easily. The dealer offered no assistance on this even though this issue didn't start until they did the recall. They are $22 and change apiece. The parts department ordered them through the Ford parts warehouse. Parts Manager said this is a know problem with these.

Good to know. All of my experiences with ACC have been in earlier.

I have driven a Fusion with ACC and it didn't have lane keeping. I do believe it solely radar.

When I back out of the garage mine alerts on the trash cans and the house and the mailbox if I
'm close enough. It did it on my 2013 FFH and currently does it on my MKZh the MKC and the Edge.

I put 73,000 and 4 years on my original Michelins, so it was time to replace. Continental PureContacts were unavailable, Michelins were $50/tire more, so I went with the Pirellis based upon good reviews from this forum and elsewhere.
1st impression - What a difference in the ride! The Pirellis are very smooth - way quieter than the previous Michelins. Even my passengers noticed the "softer ride" as it glided over the road this weekend. And I definitely appreciate the difference.
MPG-wise - it is taking a definite hit. I do not know if there is a "break-in" period for new tires, but MPG stayed around 44. This morning, my commute yielded 46mpg, where I would have normally expected 54mpg. Not complaining about getting MPG in the 40s, though. I will certainly take a smoother, quieter ride with a 70K warranty in exchange for a few MPGs.
Summary - so far, so good. :)
When I replaced my Michelins with the Pirelli P7s and my mileage got better.

If your looking for an ECO rated tire. Run flat tires are not for you.

Then how come I pull over, clean off the gunk ... hop back in car and restart it with no ACC error message and good operation? It may be there is a camera, but **something** is telling ACC the distance to the vehicle ahead. And it HAD to be the bumper sensors because the windshield was clear and unobstructed.
Guess it's off to the dealer and some tech talk if possible.
It is a radar and like murphy said it's on the right side of the grill (as you face it) behind the plastic covering. What you experienced is normal and is covered in your manual. When you clear the plastic area it works again. The owners manual is your friend. The acc radar is in the same place on all of my Ford/Lincoln vehicles.

Good luck guys.. my ride with my Sylvia has ended..
I now have a brand new '16 Nissan Altima... all the same tech as my FFH, but no more hybrid battery... I will miss all of you, and my beloved Sylvia.. but I had to get something that would start and run...
Safe travels, and thanks for the fun.. good luck all!!!!
Good luck. I remember the good old days when we, among others, were tracking our cars at the same. My 2013 FFH has been gone for awhile not, but I still have the '13 MKZh. Absolutely no battery issues.

I think there is speed that ACC won't work. If memory serves me it's below 30 mph.
-
my latest trip 10.6 miles 62.1 mpg all the while keeping up with traffic, no coasting starting out with a low charged HVB which required the ICE to start up and run for the first few miles. my HVB is always low at start as the E+ drains it when i get close to home.
You can always turn off EV+

To make there is an upcharge for the Velvet Red and there wasn't for the Bordeaux in 2013.

There are plenty on ebay. Here's a link to just one of them.
I paid around $175. for mine in 2013 or mine. It came from a wrecked gas Fusion out of Florida.

I had a 2013 FFH that was Bordeaux Red. That is the same exact color of the 2017. I put a 2013 next to a 2017 and you cannot tell the difference. I was told by a factory rep that Ford got a lot of feedback about dropping the color for 2016 and decided to bring it back under a different.
-
In the areas I drive in the new road changes have not showed up.....period. I have compared the A4 and A7 maps no difference....period. I also have a 2016 Edge with Sync 3....still no changes. I even submitted changes from when I bought my 2013s. I would save my money and buy, if you feel the need to, from ebay. That's where you you bought mine. Both for $50. delivered.
-
I paid off the loan on my MKC in 3 months and there was no penalty.
-
There is an existing recall that was done on my 2013 FFH and MKZh.
-
Yes, same error messages I got. It was the steering rack. Since yours is a 2014 it may be under warranty. If not be prepared for a $1,800 hit.

Any chance of bring back the links, at the top, to the other forums?

I bought mine out of a wrecked gas Fusion. When I sold the car the buyer wanted it to go with the car.
