  1. 19 mm or 3/4" fit about the same. That's as tight as your going to get or need unless you drive an 18 mm on with a hammer. lol
  2. I've had this happen over many cars/years. In wet weather shoes/pads rust to drums/rotors. You can often see the rusted outline of the pad on the rotor. It may be that different brands of pads will do this more or less. Since I park on the level at home I don't have this happen much. I just use emer brake while away because of this problem. One thing to try would be to lightly drag your brakes (foot lightly on the pedal) just before arriving home to heat/dry the pads. I'm in Michigan so the spring is very wet.
  3. Me and the wife returned home from shopping, opened the trunk with the dash button, got out of the car closed both doors. Got our stuff from the trunk and went into house. No attempt had been made to lock the car. Later we decided to walk, my wife tryed to open passengers door and it was locked. She then went to drivers door and opened it. The beeping started for the 12 second countdown warning for the Perimeter Alarm, then the horn sounded and lights flashed. Of course now we're in a panic cause the key is in the locked house. Later I tryed to dupicate this by leaving a door open while locking doors with remote. Or being in the car using remote than getting out. I could not come up with a way to cause this to happen. I repair computers for a major man. and have seen some strange things and this is one more....Almost makes you feel you need a key in your pocket when you walk by the car. 2011 SE
  4. If someone has ant with screw too long run a nut up the thread. Then cut off some of the thread but not too much. Turn nut off the thread then smooth with small file. Or buy the better one.
  5. Thanks for the info, I understand now.....
  6. There are stubby ant. on E-bay. One seller has several different styles. His E-bay ID is "shortantenna" price is $9.99 and $3 for shipping.
  7. How do they know your address or phone number? Do they get it from Ford or do you sign up for something? I also don't see it as something I'm willing to pay much for. thanks.....
  8. I just did an internet search. From wiki answers it states "Under the drivers side dash. Up to the left hand side of brake pedal. There will be a black box and the last 5 numbers will be your code." That sounds like it was on my Taurus.....
  9. The manual says its avail from dealer "whatever that means" It may be on side of fusebox or computer under dash. It was on my 02 Taurus.
