Ok so there's an auxillary button on the radio area, but where is the auxillary jack?? Isnt it supposed to look like a headphone plug?? because if there is one of those I can't find it. I know inside of the armrest compartment there is what looks like another cig lighter jack, is that the auxillary?? I ask this because I have my ipod and Im always plugging it into the "lighter" jack down in front wih an FM transmitter but the sound quality ALWAYS sucks and I can never get a good station, and the transmitter I bought costs me dang near $60. It's very frustrating to say the least and Im ready to give up trying to enjoy my ipod while I drive :rant: :cry: dors anyone else with an '06 have this problem or know how tohelp?? :headscratch:

OKAY!! sorry i took a while to respond. I feel like a complete assinine right now because as mentioned above the switch next to the trunk opener was turned all the way up into the on position. I clicked it off so that it was just at the brightest setting for the dimmer. I put the fuse back in and verything worked fine. HMMMMMMM......can we say dee dee dee move on my part?? yes...we can...

Ok well ever since I got the car it would beep THREE times if something was open. I bought the car used so I dont know if that has something to do with it. It has always done that. and wha is an IKT?? I know what you mean about pressing it twice within three seconds. whenever I would do that BEFORE the issure came, it would beep once and then beep again only louder. I am going to try the wd40 tomorrow whe I actually have the money to pay for a can. as for the dimmer situation No i didnt think to chack that out, I will though because I have done that before, turning until it clicks and everything just stays on. So I will check that out.

No, there are no warning messages about the door being open.

Ok HI every1! Im alicia, new to the forum. so here's the deal.. I have a 2006 ford fusion sel v6 and what has happened is: I have the factory alarm on the car, and lately when I activate the alarm, it will beep three times as if something on the car is still open. I can imagaine you know what I mean if you have one and know how the alarm works. So it beeps three time, BUT everything is closed. whenit happened, I opened all four doors, and the trunk, went back around and made sure i shut them all completely, with a little force. so everything is closed, but the alarm is still saying something is open still. AND on top of that, the dome light overhead that is supposed to shut off when you activate the alarm, stays on. does not shut off at all, just stays on it doesnt even turn off when i start the car, like its supposed to. I took it to autozone and was told something about a sensor not working or something like that and the ony thing I could do to save my battery until I get it to the shop was to take the fuse out that went to the dome light. but that stopped my power windows from working also. ANYWAY, Can someone who has had this problem please tell me what's going ong, r if you know what's going on please help me because I really do NOT have money to have these people at the shop run a diagnostics. I just would like to tell them hey this is the problem this is what needs to be done. so if you have ANY insight at all about my situation I would really truly appreciate the help.
