I have a 2017 Platinum Hybrid, which I bought in late 2016. I happened to have gotten a legitimate "lemon", but Ford back me up completely, and replaced the car for me with the exact same model, right down to the color. They stood by their product and did right by me. My replacement vehicle now has about 42K miles, and I have had zero problems with it. I am averaging about 43mpg, and that is actual calculations (the dashboard computer shows it at 45.3, but that is always higher than reality!).
Just a thought, if you can find a Platinum for sale, consider it if it is in good condition. This was the top of the line trim level in 2017-2018, but Ford didn't sell many of them, I'm not sure why. There were no options available, everything was included, it has higher quality quilted leather seats and quilting on the door above the armrest, a stitched leather dashboard, and heated and ventilated seats. Nationally, if you can find one now, they are selling for about $14-17K, the original price was close to $40K.
