Another FFH milestone

I had to pull over and snap a pic - I am officially no longer driving a "new" car, it is now out of it's new car warranty, its extended warranty is now in effect.

Mine happens this week. Not going to have 47.1 on it, but thats OK, never expected to.

ACDII, yours and mine were built and delivered within days of each other. Mine just rolled over 10,000 this week.

His driving pattern is crazy I was ahead off him a few month ago now mine just rolled over to 30k last weekend.

80 to 100 miles a day 5 days a week. Adds up quickly. There are others though that put on a LOT more than I do!

When I first got my FFH I wasn't piling on the miles that fast. But then I got a job that was 40 miles away, so 80 miles a day adds up. I just transferred (5 weeks ago) to the Miami office and now my commute is 36 miles each way. I bought extended warranty coverage for 4 years or 100,000 miles on the odometer, and I'm sure the miles will expire long before the 4 years. So considering how much time I spend on the road, I couldn't be enjoying the miles more in any other car. And I recently calculated the savings - my Volvo averaged 24 mpg, FFH averaged 44 (although that is going up). The Volvo would have used 682 additional gallons (1500 gallons instead of 818 in the fusion). At an average of $3.10 per gallon, I have saved $2115 in gas so far. It couldn't get much better than that!

With this cold weather mine was at 43.7 this AM. It's starting to go down.

I was at 42.9 lifetime from day 1 before replacing the tires, so the above is since the tires were replaced, and of course, the weather has been cold ever since, so that is going to be my winter numbers until spring. It will be going down to about 40 by the time winter is over, maybe even 39 depending on snow.
