My wife washes the car at least once a week 'cause she loves to play with water and it's her car. :headscratch: I don't know what she uses.

I'm allowed to drive it when we go out 'cause she doesn't like my helpful comments about her driving. I guess I'd have to say her must haves are the antenna balls she has for each holiday along with the sun glasses collection..

:hysterical: that's awesome...my wife hates my "helpful comments about her driving" too. She especially didn't like it on our road trip so I'm going to try really hard to not upset her on this next road trip

My wife has washed a car once that I remember, and that was at a drive thru. She does like to cut the lawn tho!

If you attend any car shows, you will likely see California Dusters in use. Consider that many folks who have spent 10's of thousands on their cars, and really want their paint to pop, use them, so they are made to not scratch or leave swirl marks. I always rely on Meguiar's Quik Detailer, with a clean, like new microfiber cloth. It is not meant to be a dirt remover, just for very light dust perhaps, or a little rain spotting.

I wash my microfiber towels, then line dry them, not in the dryer. Yes, they can hold material. When mine lose their fluff I relegate them to window washing or even applying wax.

+1000 on the California Duster. I started using them years ago on my daily drivers and on my classic muscle cars. They are great....

I keep in my car at all times:

California Car Duster, PDP Body Gloss (Quick Detailer), Tint-Safe Window Cleaner, Exhaust Tip metal polisher and all associated Microfiber cloths for it.

How do you carry all that in the trunk and keep it from flying around?  I only have the duster in mine, but would like to have some cleaning supplies in there too.

I have a soft cargo carrier from WallyWorld that holds all of my supplies and sits perfectly on top of the battery shelf.

Mods/accessories:
Tint 35%
LED license plate and trunk lights
Husky WeatherBeaters floor mats
Covercraft sun screen
Proclip cell phone holder
Stubby antenna (4")
LED puddle lamps (DaytimeBrightLites)
AVS in-channel window vents
Mud flaps (OEM) front/rear
(Shhh, the wife only knows about half of them!)

We have a lawn service...but she does like to play with dirt in the garden. She also likes to shovel snow. I bought her a snow blower that she doesn't like to use.

My "have to have supplies" include a blanket, first aid kit and light in case I have to change a tire in the dark. OOPS! I mean use the Tire Mobility Kit. My wife will not have anything to do with tires, so I include a AAA card to supplement the Ford Care in case of a blowout.

I put down some Rubbermaid shelf liner on top of the battery deck and have a case of water on it.

Good idea! Water is something we take fo  granted here. Not so when we get out west. I also have a Personal Lifesaving Beacon, PLB, in the !st aid kit that goes with me from car to truck to boat.

I used to live in AZ - you get used to taking water with you everywhere. Just pull down the rear seat and there it is.

I have a Rubbermaid cargo carrier that has several bins. It's foldable and is secured to the floorboard via velcro.

Also, I would recommend keeping a brush designed for interior work and keep it. It'll be great to brush off the dust and bits that get caught in the crevices in the interior panels.

Would love to see shots of what others use to carry things in the trunk to keep them organized, and I'm sure others here would like them too.

Such a simple concept and I thank you for it.
I've been keeping some stuff on the upper battery tray and it's always been a hassle to manage from the trunk, until now.
I just open the back door, flip the seat down and there it is. Amazing.

Here's another trick. Water is mostly sold by the case wrapped in plastic. Just cut a small hole at the top center of the plastic covering, just large enough to pull out one bottle at a time. As you deplete the water the bottles won't fall out and roll around the trunk.

Courtesy of my wife :)

I assume you are referring to the elephant you keep in the back seat, right?
