I was a little bit worried when we kept loading up our carts but the FFH trunk handled following shopping list just fine

5x bags river pebbles
4x bags 1 cu ft potting soil
3x 24 count annual flowers
4x 2.5 QT perennials

08968759-A547-40DA-A8EB-664CE47DC831-264

Mileage wasn't great even if I managed to get pretty EV miles but as we all know a cold ICE just sucks down the gas and its only 55* outside.

Add in all that weight too.  I found there is plenty of room in the trunks. Those who naysay it are nuts. What it lacks in depth is made up for in fore-aft space.

And that's why I own a F-150.

Sure; we usually take my wife's Explorer for such trips but I was too lazy to switch back the car seat this morning.

Today I loaded 50 patio stones, 10 bags of river rock and 3 large planting pots in the F-150.  :)   I would never load any of that type of stuff or what you loaded in my Fusion.  But that's me. ;) I guess I'm a little too concerned about scratching the paint on the bumper or ending up with a stain that won't come out.  I see you used a tarp, but still. :headspin:

Mmhh if I would have a project this size I could attempt such a load ;-) but I never would. I would drive 5 min to our friends house a borrow their Ram 1500. I have pulled some crazy loads with the HHR before we had the Explorer and something I would never do with the FFH.

Does anyone actually know how much weight you can put on top of the battery cover?

To answer you question I didn't get the trunk dirty at all the tarp did the job and yes I rather make the Explorer dirty but it's tan colored inside; even harder to clean.

Nice looking hauling gear! I'm just glad I don't have something close to that; could you imagine how many bags of soil and how many plants my wife could buy before trailer and Flex are full. OMG poor me 😄

The FFH has a total weight load of 850 pounds for passengers and cargo.

What is handy is the fold down seats for longer cargo, if not too heavy.

I've always had a heavy lifter vehicle until now, those days are over.

850 lbs is not much weight. It'd be easy to exceed that with even just 2 ppl in car and luggage. I imagine that on our Cali trip in January we had close to that much weight with all the luggage

Been there, done that, had 800# in just the back, not including me and the wife. Well over 1100 pounds!
