I'm not sure you need to worry about this. Prius that I traded and used for 6 years had a large touch screen and no scratches. I'm sure this will hold up just as well.

For $16. I chose not to take a chance. Besides it has better anti-glare properties.

The thing about screen protectors is they all reduce the touch sensitivity of what they are protecting... Just a fact related to basic physics... If you can live with that, fine. Personally, I do not find the risk merits the concern.

The MFT is so non sensitive to touch, adding another layer to the screen would just make it worse for me.

I have come close to punching the damned thing several times. Seems like you cant switch to audio when in climate screen without first going to the home screen. You can go to the climate screen when in audio though. Latest update is still not available here.

I have put a nu-shield on my screen, don't have a problem with the touch sensitivity.. or the interaction.. overall my experience with MFT has been very positive.

Just order the 8" that fits the Edge.

I wasn't sure if I really wanted/needed a screen protector on my MFT and I hate spending that much money on a piece of plastic.

So I bought a screen protector for an iPad 1 or 2 from TJMaxx which was only $4. Of course the film is to big for the MFT so I marked it around the edges and cut it to size with scissors.

The one I picked has a bit too much shine to it but it works very well no issues with the touch functionality.

I'd be interested to know how these nushield protectors look and if they significantly reduce fingerprints. I use my screen cleaning cloth at least once a day and it would be nice to out that away for at least a few days :)

Paper Mate® Tuff Stuff™ Eraser Stick works for me. A computer stylus would also work but had one of these.

I really like mine and it does reduce fingerprints and reflections. It also doesn't get dusty so quickly :) Go for it!

i too got the nushield after reading this link. if you are considering getting one, get it, you wont be disappointed. I feel besides the protection from scratches it provides it cuts down on the fingerprints significantly and that alone was worth the price to me.

I got the dayvue as I like to open the moonroof shield on winter days and the moonroof in the summer. I had glare problems with my 2010 and I have no glare issues with either of my cars.

I have used a soft tip stylist since2008. No fingerprints no problems.

I installed the NuShield 8" screen protector this morning, I'm extremely pleased with the results. NO finger prints showing at all after a days use. It's worth the $$'s just for that. I also ordered the Klear Screen anti-static wipes which I used before installation of the clear screen. I may have gotten lucky but there were no bubbles or dust under the screen on the first install.

 

I have not noticed any touch screen sensitivity problems.

 

I ordered the Triple A, for the 2012-2013 Fusion, along with the Klear Screen Wipes, less than $20 delivered.
