2011 FEH Wrench and ! STOP SAFELY NOW

I am looking at an out of state car at auction that has the yellow wrench and ! STOP SAFELY NOW illuminated on the dash. Sorry not a lot of other info but wondering could that just be the throttle valve/body issue or could it be more extensive ($$$)

Most likely the throttle body but it could be anything. Can you access the DTCs?

@lolder No I can't it is out of state. I like to think of the best and worst case scenario so I can kinda be prepared.

I'd look elsewhere. These are not do-it-yourself fixer uppers. If the car is cheap, it means the cheap fix of cleaning the throttle body is probably not the problem. Only Ford can work on the tough stuff.

Yeah thanks I passed but wasn't completely because of the issue. In my spare time I like to figure out things that others pass on. Keeps me out of trouble and from accumulating excess savings lol
