I've been using My Link in a Camaro rental and it is terrible. The Bluetooth is really spotty, and the buttons are a mess and small targets to hit. Driving this thing makes me appreciate my Fusion so much more.

I don't get why MFT gets some many complains about it. I think It's easy to use and as many features.

I agree. I remember Consumer Reports downgrading the car sharply for it. The best driving sedan of it's type, and they focus on the Sync system!

Yeah, I honestly think it's good. If they just sorted out the whole AppLink then it would have been perfect. The Siri add on was big to me.

MFT is really not as "high tech" as it was made out to be. JMO.

I've have my 2016 FFH for less than 3 months, love the car, think that much of the technology is amazing, really impressed by the seamless transitions from EV to ICE drive, BUT I think the MFT system is underwhelming, especially for the additional cost. Like many others, I found it a real turn-off that there are no apps (Pandora, Spotify, etc.) available with the premium system, but they are standard with the entry system. I will say that I find the sound of the stereo, with DSP set to "Driver", to be very good.

I realize MFT in my car was not the best interface in 2014, but after a few months of used-car ownership, I like it. A few minor quirks and delays, but it is easy to use and much better than a bunch of buttons. It got such bad reviews in its day, and was a main complaint in the Consumer Reports back then. My opinion is, that was blown out of proportion. I am very happy with the car, MFT and all.

I don't get why MFT gets some many complains about it. I think It's easy to use and as many features.

Like a lot of MS software released before it was really ready, the very early MFT units were a disaster.  Toward the end of the production run, the units seem to have gotten decent - both our '15 Explorer and '16 Fusion have had relatively aggravation-free experience.

Owning a '16 Fusion hybrid, my frustration is confined to the lack of Android Auto support and the lack of ability to 'cast' Google Maps to the in-car screen.  My experience with our 15 Explorer with MFT / NAV made me dead set against paying the $$$ for the option that was, in every measurable way, inferior to what I get on my phone as a 'normal' experience.

And Ford has the nerve to charge $200 + for map updates that 'come with' any phone.
