I wondered if any of you have installed something like Dynamat in your Fusion to deaden the engine noise and/or to stop rattles and road noise.
I've been thinking about doing this but wonder if the active noise cancellation process would get screwed up by adding such materials.

Darkside, did it make a big difference in the engine noise to you and/or any rattles you may have had in the car? I'm not even sure what doing that kind of thing costs. Can you enlighten me? Thanks!

Look in the audio section for my Sony wiring thread and browse that.  I doubt that sound deadening would help with rattles (something is loose) and to be honest I'm not sure if the sound deadening reduced the engine noise, it did however make the car seem solider and quieter as far as road noise.  To eliminate engine noise you would need to use that sound deadening on the floor and firewall, I only did doors, parcel and truck lid.  My sound from my sound system stays in the car more with the deadening and people I have had listen to my system have commented how quiet it is outside my car when there is a live concert going on inside.....
