These are the white wheels after another few coats of white Rustoleum rubber paint. Did not like the transparent gold over white I tried first time around so decided to put one can of the new Rustoleum white over the gold. Also have white 1/4" pinstripe tape over the grill bars to subdue the chrome a bit. Undercoated the air intake tube and put a roll of kitchen carpet in the space between the engine and the intake tubes. I don't have a decibel meter good enough to measure noise reduction efforts but I think the intake is the major source of engine noise and figure the carpet and undercoating can't hurt. The motor is very quiet during warm up but gets a rumble as soon as first stage warm up completes.
