Automate Report post Posted March 26, 2015 I'm enjoying my new-used 2010 FFH and need to replace an aging Honda minivan. Thinking of a 2010-2012 Escape Hybrid. Interested in impressions from people that have driven both the FFH and FEH.
Griswald Report post Posted March 26, 2015 I had two, well I had two Mazda Tributes which is the same vehicle. The first was a 2001 and the second was a 2003. Really liked both of them. Perfect size, rode nice, comfortable enough for all day driving, plenty of power, towed a 19' ski boat with one and enough off-road ability to keep you from getting stuck in easy situations. Both of mine were 4WD V6 3.0's Got around 22 MPG lifetime. I'm sure the hybrid is much easier on fuel.
jeff_h Report post Posted March 26, 2015 We had a 2006 FEH for 66k miles, the only reason we ever had to take it in for service was for the CEL that popped on, went to dealer and they said the fan that cooled the HVB in back had gone bad and needed to be replaced. In 66k miles that's the only dealer trip we ever needed. The kicker was that once the diagnosis had been made, the service department said that they checked with Ford and the decision was that it was not covered by the 8yr/100k hybrid warranty. I asked how it could not be considered part of the hybrid system when that was the *only* reason that the component existed??? Service advisor understood my position but said sorry, Ford still said no. Go figure. 2 GrySql and hybridbear reacted to this
