2013+ Headlight/Fog light Bulbs Replacements

Recommended Posts

I am planning to swap all the bulbs out of the headlights (including parking) and fog lights. I don't want to mess with HID's and just want to have an easy bulb swap. I am looking to do the Xeon bulbs to have that more white look. What are some good brands/bulbs to go with. I want quality so they don't die out in a year. I know bulbs will eventually blow but I am looking for a set it and forget it like most OEM's are.

After looking at the workbook about installing a new headlight bulb the word 'easy bulb swap' in not what I see.

You are supposed to remove the front tires, the front fascia, the headlight assembly, a 9-step process to exchange the headlight high beam bulb alone, etc, etc.

This is certainly not like the old days....

If you're going to do it, once you have access to the assemblies it does make a lot of sense to do them all.

That's exactly why I added the bulb coverage onto my Flood ESP! Just sayin'! :)

I know it is a pain in the ass to do it. I meant "easy swap" as I don't want HID's since I just want to swap the bulbs when I have the bumper off. I also don't want to do it again so looking for anyone's advice on a good brand that last long but is white.

the whiter the bulb the quicker it will die unfortunately there isnt any brand that can last more than 6 months and to be honest HID cost about the same as those bulbs, that is why so many people opt to go with HID but like GrySql said you have to take the bumper off everytime you want to swap bulbs not as easy as the old day now you can look into LED bulbs those have had good results but i have bixenon retro fit so i cant comment on those
