Automate Report post Posted February 13, 2015 When I go to SyncMyRide for my 2010 FFH (no NAV) it says I'm on version 2 and there is an upgrade to AR3T-14D544-AE Gen1 - V3.1 available but I have to go to the dealer to have it done. In searching the web it seems that at least for other Ford owners they have been able to upgrade using USB. Anyone know how to get the files to upgrade over USB? TonyHzNV Report post Posted February 13, 2015 Try asking Kim, the in-house Ford IVT rep. She may be able to help with that.
Automate Report post Posted February 13, 2015 Thanks, sent a PM to FordIVTteam which I think is the account Kim and Rebecca use.

hobbla Report post Posted April 4, 2015 Yep I installed the 4.4 gen1 update a few days ago. Mostly improvements with Bluetooth. It will now try to play Bluetooth audio when you start up if that's what you left off on. BT audio now shows song info on the screen (tested with Spotify and play music on android). Oh and it can read texts to you now :)

TopherC Report post Posted June 11, 2015 (edited) Hey Automate, I'm also on version 2 in my 2010 Fusion Hybrid and the dealer wants $100 to upgrade to the 4.4 build. Were you able to get a free USB upgrade? Edited June 11, 2015 by TopherC

Automate Report post Posted June 12, 2015 (edited) @TopherC Upgrading version 2.0 is tricky. It has to be done in a two stage process. The first step only works if have a firmware update that is for your specific VIN. Firmware anyone else has used will not work. Once you have upgraded from 2.0 to 3.0 then you can use a generic firmware to upgrade to 4.4. PM Rebecca in http://fordsyncforum.com/ she may be able to help you out.. TopherC Report post Posted June 12, 2015 Thanks, Automate. I see in the software I just got that his VIN is specified in the xml file. Without knowing what else is car-specific, it's probably not safe to mess with. I'll check in with Rebecca and see if she can steer me in the right direction.
