Benjamin Kenney Report post Posted March 6, 2016 Where are you at mileage wise? They told me it would be approximately 400 dollars to fix. They said no warranty, nothing was available...May i ask what "warranty" they covered it over... The FordService has all but disappeared... Ended up getting into it this weekend. Removed the bottom seat, undid the seatbelt torx bolt, loosed the slack on the belt, and it all retracted back and "works" again! Woo hoo. Still locks up, but at least now I can buckle it before lowering the seat Had to use a ratcheting strap to hold the seat up in order to get the bench out Bench seat is out! Finally Seat out of the vehicle Another angle of the seat Torx Bolt is out, seat is finally back up Another angle If you remove the seat make sure to capture the hook when re-installing the seat

NotLowEnough Report post Posted November 25, 2016 (edited) What size torx bolt are the seat belts bolted down with?Torx T50. 89,9xx on my 2013 FFH and this happened today. I was able to pull the cushion to unbolt the bracket, however the belt retracted completely into the seat and will not release at all. The belt is fully retracted with the buckle pulled to the reel and will not release. Going to the dealer this week for the 90k oil change and will inquire about a fix, but I already know how this song and dance goes. Considering this is a safety issue, it wouldn't be a bad idea for those with this issue to file a complaint with NHTSA. I have done so and it takes roughly five minutes. These complaints are what NHTSA uses to open recall investigations. The complaint can be submitted online here: https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/VehicleComplaint/ Edited November 25, 2016 by NotLowEnough

Jiasong Report post Posted September 22, 2017 fixed it by myself. By a T50 Torx. 1. Remove the bottom of the back seat 2. remove the center seat belt mount (I don't know the name of this thing, it is the bottom part for the seat belt on driver side)3. put the center on the correct angle and fix the mount back.4. Put the seat back on. Total cost of 15 minutes, and $7.
Angelo Report post Posted July 10, 2021 i am experiencing the same issue with my 2014 Fusion, namely rear center seat belt locking when the 60% seat is folded down. I removed the T50 bolt to free, release belt and was able raise seat but it locked up again as soon as I lifted the handle to lower the seat. I even tried latching the center belt into the buckle as suggest on U-Tube but it made it worse / tighter to lift the seat back up to get to the bolt. I noticed when the seat back is latched in the full upright position, the belt is free to go in or out (does not lock). As soon as i lift up on the handle to lower the seat back and pulled on the seat belt, it locks immediately, preventing the belt from coming out further. I will bring it to a local dealer next week to see what they say / recommend. BTW, I am a retired Ford manufacturing engineer. Thanks.
