TonyHzNV Report post Posted December 24, 2014 (edited) I've owned a 2007 Fusion SEL V6 and a 2012 Fusion SEL 4 Cyl, both gas, and I loved them both very much. Two of the best cars I've ever owned. When I saw the new design for MY 13 though, I fell in love all over again! I knew I had to have one, but decided to wait for MY 14 because I've had bad luck in the past buying the first year of a new design (not Ford). I hadn't really thought about a hybrid much, so I started reading up on them and was very impressed with the reviews the Fusion was getting and with how far the technology had come. I decided to check local inventory online and found one that was equipped the way I would like it, so I decided to go down and take a look at. That's all it took. Once I sat in it, played with the toys a little and took it for a short test ride, I was sold. I brought her home on July 3rd and have been loving it ever since. I decided to join the forum to see what others have done with theirs, what problems they have run across and solved (like the spare tire and DRL issues), and maybe make some new friends. My name is Tony and I live in Vegas so if you're ever in town and would like to get together for a brewsky or something drop me a line. Happy driving! nv rick Report post Posted December 24, 2014 Hi Tony. As you can see from my signature, I'm a fellow Nevadan (transplanted from Milwaukee in the great Mid-West). I live 'over the hump' in Pahrump. Although I have a '14 MKZ hybrid, I got a lot of info and encouragement on this forum when I had a multitude of questions about hybrids. The response from the friendly folks here made my decision to buy much easier.I still come to this forum everyday as the MKZ forum is generally very quiet. I find lots of interesting info and observations here. A nice place to visit. 4 GrySql, corncobs, hybridbear and 1 other reacted to this

I've already gleaned a lot of helpful info from the forums I've visited even though I only joined a few days ago. I'm gonna do the 18" wheel spare tire project that GrySql so eloquently laid out, and thanks to all the folks (GrySql, Hybridbear, Easy Rider, Waldo, Milleron, acdii, corncobs, too many to name all) who got in on the DRL activation discussion, I'm getting my DRLs turned on next week....for free! Hopeflly I've been helpful by letting people know that the A6 map card is already for sale on navigation.com and how my update to MFT 3.7 went. It's all about INFORMATION and boy, this is the place to get it! I'm glad to be here, hope to make some new friends and hope I can be as helpful to others as they are to me. Be seeing you around the forums, Rick. and thanks again for the welcome! 2 hybridbear and GrySql reacted to this

acdii Report post Posted January 8, 2015 Welcome to the Forum. I have been to Vegas once......once. I now know what is meant by a dry heat, 110* there feels likes 85* here with the humidity. When I was driving through that area, it was miles upon miles of rocks and sand and dirt, then came across a quaint little town snuggled in a valley somewhere in Utah and thought, now this is a place I could live in. If only I could leave this awful state of prison governors.
TonyHzNV Report post Posted January 8, 2015 Welcome to the Forum. I have been to Vegas once......once. I now know what is meant by a dry heat, 110* there feels likes 85* here with the humidity. Thanks for the welcome, acdii! I was here a couple of times before I moved here in 1992 after retiring from the Army in Honolulu (long story)☺. It was 116° on the strip that 4th of July weekend. Haven't seen temps that high in quite a few years now just like we haven't seen much rain lately. When it gets up that high though, you know IT'S HOT. When you get out of a pool, you freeze from the immediate evaporation effect. Vegas is a fun place to live though if you can "suffer" through the summer months. Lots to do and lots of good food. No state income tax is nice too! Anyway, thanks again for the welcome. Be "seein'" you around!

machoman1337 Report post Posted January 22, 2015 I also used to drive an SEL V6 Fusion (2008), which was also my very first car. No regrets about trading it in for the FFH!
