Like the fog lamp issue for the Fusion S, I am yet to find a kit to install the stock tweeters...I would really like to install the tweeter kit and the fog lamp kit I think that would finish up my mod-ing for a while!! If so, could you tell me where you found the KIT?? I really appreciate it because i haven't taken a car apart yet...i'm kinda scared to to do sometihg wrong cuz its my first new car...ya know?? LOL...so is there any way that Best Buy/Circuit City could do that..if so, do u think they would do a genuine job??...also, do u think they could do fog lamps??...i am an avionics technician in the USAF and repair our aircrafts communication/navigation systems...but havent done a car yet..its diff im sure, plus, its my baby, not the Air Forces! haha...any advice? THANKS!!

Do yourself a favor and just go buy an aftermarket component kit. You can't just add a tweeter - you also need a crossover and it won't sound right with the factory cone speaker. The component kit will give you the woofer, tweeter and crossover. Just mount the tweeter in the A pillar.

these have a built in crossover and won't match the quality of a set of components but they are cheap and probably will add some highs to your factory set up. I'm no expert , others may comment or give Crutchfield a call . They are very helpfull.

I know this thread is old, but just to clarify for anybody with an S that wants to add factory tweeters... YOU CAN buy the stock tweeters (and almost any other factory part) at the dealership parts counter. some dealers seem to have a hard time finding certain parts (this may be a software issue on their end) but the parts ARE available.

some dealers let you buy parts online and will ship them out anywhere. teamfordparts.com sells the stock tweeter for $21 (to find it, go to instrument panel > sound system > tweeter). I ordered an MKZ antenna from them, after my local dealer said it wasn't available

Why you'd want to order such a cheap piece of garbage is another question. Of course you'd also need the crossovers in the woofer to go with it. Better off replacing it with a 5.25" component setup. Night and day.

You can buy the tweeters. Goto FordParts.com. Cheaper there than your local dealer. Funny thing is, this is Will Titus Ford, a dealer out of state. You could just get the 2010's since they employ the same set up, but they are using components from SONY. Im actually think'n of replacing the factory tweeters in the doors to these. As I recall, they aren't that expensive.
