usererror Report post Posted October 17, 2014 Does anyone know where the beeper location is? Or does it "beep" through the stereo speakers?I had a 2013-2015 FFT as a rental this week for work. I like that the beeper is not loud and obnoxious like it is on my 2012 Ford Escape. I don't have my FFH yet, but I am hoping to in a few weeks. hybridbear Report post Posted October 19, 2014 There was also a SSM relating to some builds which had issues with the beeps not sounding through the speakers but rather from behind the dash. usererror Report post Posted October 19, 2014 Did this apply to 2012 Escapes? I'd love to make the beeper on my 2012 Escape sound like the one in the FFH, but it doesn't sound like I can. The beeper in my Escape seems to be from the rear of the vehicle but I haven't looked in my diagrams yet to see where it is exactly. I'm pretty sure my car sounds different on Monday mornings than any other day of the week because of a low 12V after being parked for 3 days. Never thought much about it but I have noticed it. Waldo Report post Posted October 20, 2014 The 2012 Escape used Ford's old system where a separate speaker was used just for the backup beeps. It is mounted right to the PAM (Park Aid Module) which is behind the cargo area trim on the right side. As mentioned above, the Fusion uses a new system that integrates the sound with the speakers. BoomerGer Report post Posted October 22, 2014 Why not go to a truck accessories store and by a LOUD beeper? Like the kind found on forklifts or garbage trucks. Mine sounds like something off of a garbage truck and can be heard all over any parking lot. I've noticed people at the far end of a row start looking around like they are looking for a large truck and people close by put their hand over their ears! Hey, when I want people to see my car backing up, I also want them to HEAR it and not run into me! I am referring to the beeper that is heard inside the vehicle when you approach an obstacle. It is very apparent that Ford's sensors and audible alert on the 2012-2015 Fusion is significantly better than the system on the 2008-2012 Escapes. I was just hoping I could at least make the beeper inside sound the same, but that will not be possible, at least with what I have learned from the posts here.
