Many of you familiar with other Ford products over the past decade and a half won't be surprised to learn this, but for those of you who can't keep their hands off their brand-new cars, here's a mod that is dead simple (if I'm correct... which I'm 99% sure I am): The fuel door on the Fusion/Milan (not sure about the MKZ) is the same exact part that was used on the 99-04 Mustang. I still have my Mustang fuel door from where I swapped it out for the Bullitt/Mach I billit fuel door. What this means is, if you want to further "personalize" your Fusion/Milan, you can order a Bullitt/Mach I billit fuel door from any Mustang aftermarket catalog and install it just like you would on a Mustang. I'm thinking this mod would look particularly interesting on a silver vehicle as it would mesh into the bodywork better. I doubt anyone's considered this mod as it's not immediatly obvious unless you have familiarity with both vehicles. Thoughts? Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Meelaan Report post Posted June 2, 2007 Update: While the Fusion/Milan fuel door appears to be identical to the Mustang's, it's on the opposite side of the car. This means swapping it out for the Bullit fuel door would have the new door upside-down. Wish I'd kept my Bullit door now just to try this out. I wouldn't want it on my vehicle though.
