Michael Crowe Report post Posted August 6, 2014 Hey guys, a little slow to the party... I bought a 2014 FFHyTi in May of this year. I have not received any notice from Ford about the change or any possible compensation. It appears I would be part of that list since I bought expecting 47/47. Have a service appt. on Sat and will ask there as well, but should I be expecting a nice check soon as well? Thanks!

hybridbear Report post Posted August 6, 2014 I am signed up for Fedex delivery manager so i get emails any time a package is being sent to my addressIs this a free service? UPS has something similar that's free and we really like it because I don't need to search for tracking numbers, UPS just automatically sends us an e-mail when we have an incoming package. They send another e-mail once it has been delivered.

FrankQC Report post Posted August 6, 2014 2013 Fusion Energi deposit/ordered 1/2013, delivered 6/2013, no check yet.Sorry guys, but I guess this has nothing to do with the purchase date. Maybe VIN's ? I purchased my '13 FFH mid April 2014 (delivered same day) and I got my $925 CAD check two days ago, August 4th.

acdii Report post Posted August 6, 2014 I had a delivery yesterday, but it wasn't from Ford. It was engine parts I had ordered on Sunday to repair an engine that got busted in a crash. Still no indication of a package from Ford for me yet. :(
Craig Report post Posted August 6, 2014 I received my $775. check in the mail on the FFH yesterday. Maybe the one for the MKZh isn't fat behind. Anyone else received theirs yet? Got mine via FedEx today. It did show VIN on the stub.Craig

Jonjam Report post Posted August 6, 2014 Purchased my 2014 FFH SE in September 2013 and it was delivered in November. Just received my check for $925 by FedEx international economy yesterday. Ford advised me checks would be delivered in September but to my surprise received it a month early.

gmarshall Report post Posted August 7, 2014 Just received notification from FedEx that my package (check) is out for delivery today Thursday 8/7, my 2013 FFH SE had a build date of 1/4/2013 and I took delivery in March of 2013.
acdii Report post Posted August 7, 2014 Wow looks like delivery dates are all over the place. Wonder how they are issuing them. If it were based on VIN then those who bought in 12 should have already received a check. Maybe its regional.
Nick P Report post Posted August 7, 2014 Got my check yesterday. WooHoo!! $775. Ordered the car in Dec 2012, built in January 2013 and delivered March 2013. Absolutely LOVE the car. But nothing better than found money. Thank you Ford. Does this impact customer satisfaction? You bet it does! When was the last time you saw a company own up to its mistakes? Look at how GM is handling their problems and how Ford handled this. I'll be sticking with Ford. 1 hybridbear reacted to this
talmy Report post Posted August 7, 2014 Just got our check yesterday (car delivery was last day in November, 2013). Frankly, happy with the gas consumption anyway, but even though thankful for the check it should have been larger. Information provided with the check shows (after doing some calculation) that the check amount is the extra cost of driving 75,000 miles with gas price $3.50/gallon given the difference between 42 and 47mpg. I haven't seen gas prices that low since buying the car and am unlikely to in the future. And 75,000 miles is a very pessimistic lifetime (I sure hope!). I haven't seen gas prices that low since buying the car and am unlikely to in the future. And 75,000 miles is a very pessimistic lifetime (I sure hope!).I questioned some of that too. I also asked why the C-Max & Fusion Energi don't get the same size check when their before & after ratings are the same. The official response from Ford was that each vehicle was calculated individually based on the particular type of buyer attracted & how many miles they're likely to drive before getting a different car. Ford determined that they expect Fusion Energi owners to drive more miles annually and thus they get bigger checks.
razol Report post Posted August 7, 2014 I received my check yesterday via Fedex. I was rather surprised as I was aware that they had to re-state the MPG, but not that Ford was going to issue checks to owners. This was a rather pleasant surprise to me as I am very pleased with the economy of the car even with the re-stated mileage. This is still better the the MPGs on the Camry Hybrid that I traded in, and this car has been much more enjoyable and problem free. Toyota certainly did not issue me any sort of credit even though I owned that car for year and never got anywhere close to the MPG score that they rated that care at (41), I achieved more like 35 MPG on a very lucky tankful in optimal conditions. I never would have complained, but if they want to send me $775, I will gladly accept it.
