RedLine/Tuning Hood QuickLIFT System

Recommended Posts

I wasn't sure which spot Hood Lifts belonged to since they didn't match any existing Forum Section. Hope this is the right place. If not, Monitor please relocate as you see fit.

I have installed RedLine/Tuning Hood QuickLIFT kits on both Fusions and they are a snap to install (15 minutes or less each). QuickLIFTs supplement (not replace) the existing metal bar used to hold the Fusion Hood while it is raised. Personally, I have had the pleasure of another vehicle hood slipping out of these bars and want the belt and suspenders approach. QuickLIFTs are gas springs that make it a snap to open the hood.

Available information is at www.redlinetuning.com/QL-FORD-FUSION-2013+.html

I bought these from the CD3 websight. Really like how they work. Wish they had come standard.

They should have come standard, at least on Titaniums.

CD3 is also a sponsor, so anything you get from them benefits the forum to. :)

Mea Culpa. Didn't realize that.

Do they offer a discount for forum members? The sponsors of the mustang form I use frequently offer discount coupons and specials to users. That generates lots of posts on mods, installation and benefits of the products. I think that results in sales to them.

No they don't.

Received my lifts today as nice surprise :) since I didn't get a shipping notification. Took maybe 15 min to install.

The only thing I would like to see changed is that lower attachment it should be secured better. The security "latch" should actually latch and not just slide down without any click.

Mine seemed to sort of click when properly secured. Be sure to ensure that the bottom positioning is according to the instructions.
