IraF Report post Posted October 23, 2013 Thank you, I did the water test with a hose and it flows off like a sheet, however it left water marks, and I removed those spots, this morning we had dew, mist and the car had beads of water, but once it dried I didn't see any water spots. Point being water from the hose has plenty of minerals to cause the spots, but not rain water or dew/mist on your car. It took long because I used detailers/polish and then used opti-coat 2.0. it doesn't really take much to apply and since I have about 70% left I will do her Toyota Yaris when we get two decent days of weather. I did mine at 60F and two days later we got some rain. I used the little blue gadget that came with it although some detailers just remove the black screw on and squirt it on a pad, more comes out and I didn't think that was necessary. Opti-Coat 2.0 is for the consumer although one could use the commercial stuff and the consumer grade take longer in leveling then the commercial grade so it wasn't necessary to rush the job and had it been the commercial one would have to work fast.
