coach81 Report post Posted July 30, 2013 This past weekend we took Sylvia out for her first real extended trip. We made a trip up to Tenn to see some good friends. With the AC set to auto 72 degrees the entire time, and the eco cruise set between 75-78 mph.. here were the results: Best tank- with half of the tank still from driving around here- 43 MPGWorst tank- almost the entire tank spent on the interstate nearly 80 mpg, and then up and down hills of Tenn- 38 MPG Overall.. pretty decent numbers I would say.... 4 gadgetguy, acdii, keithsm2 and 1 other reacted to this
rjent Report post Posted July 30, 2013 Yup, that is pretty good about what we get also. We have a Fall (Oct.) trip of about 5000 miles planned. I am looking forward to that one too. If you slow it down to 65/4 like we do, it adds an hour a day to the same distance, but results in 44 to 46 overall. Nice numbers! 1 coach81 reacted to this

I plan on seeing what kind of mileage I can get
coach81 Report post Posted August 5, 2013 Yeah.. I made a promise to my wife that I would not "baby" her for the trip, or try any "mileage tricks".. so I had to go 75+ and have the A/C blasting :drop: but it was a great trip... she did just fine... Just don't understand the big rush. Why not set your cruise at 68 mph and sit back and enjoy the ride and get a kick out of the mileage you will gain.
