David Henry Report post Posted July 23, 2013 (edited) Has anyone else noticed gaps in the piano black trim on their rear doors? I had the dealer check and they sent pictures to Ford and I am now scheduled to go in and get the pieces replaced. Also, the black strip on the A pillar on the driver door is popped up a little and they are going to adjust that somehow, maybe be removing and re-applying. I guess when you spend 30k+ on a new car you get pretty anal retentive. :) Edited July 23, 2013 by David Henry
neod192 Report post Posted July 23, 2013 It's perfectly normal to feel like that! Can you post issues pictures of these issues? I had the same problem with the plastic trim piece on the driver door sticking out at the top. The dealer re-seated it and it's been fine ever since. djminfll Report post Posted July 24, 2013 I noticed yesterday that the top of the A-pillar trim is coming a little loose. I will be making an appointment to have it fixed shortly.
smr2112 Report post Posted July 24, 2013 The A-pillar piece has a definite replacement part from Ford, so ask them.I am guessing it wasn't cut exactly right. I had this issue, but in waiting for the part, I sort of pulled it out as far as it wouldcome (very gently) and then pushed it back in firmly and squarely with the palm of my hand.As far in as it would go and it is nerarly flush now, just like the passenger side.It seems perfectly fine now and has not popped back out, so not caring too much aboutthis. Kind of weird, somebody else had this fixed without an actual replacement part.

lmp180psu Report post Posted July 24, 2013 The piano trim on all 4 door of my doors don't fit flush. They are bowed up slightly. The area around the window controls on the drivers door is loose too. I thought about mentioning it to the dealer but didnt yet. They have been very good about other issues so i may mention it to them when I go in for the hybrid software update (whenever that is available). hybridbear Report post Posted July 24, 2013 I've had issues with the trim on B pillar rear door on the left side. The dealer replaced that panel but damaged the chrome trim in doing so and it's been almost 3 months and they still haven't received the chrome piece. It took from January until early May to get the black piano piece
acdii Report post Posted July 25, 2013 That A piece, is that the one between the small window and large window? That piece popped out on me one day, made it very noisy too which is how I notice it. I pushed it back in and its been fine ever since.
