djminfll Report post Posted July 13, 2013 My fill-up today was at 44.9mpg, and FINALLY bumped my fuelly average to 43mpg! Woo-hoo! :happy feet: :headspin: :banvictory: :cheerleader:(On a side note, the DTE display was WAY off. It told me I only had 96 miles to go, yet I only used 8.9 gallons, so I actually over 160 miles before empty.) 2 jeff_h and corncobs reacted to this
corncobs Report post Posted July 14, 2013 How does fuelly compare to your dash numbers ? I don't have all fill up's transferred to fuelly for now I wanna enjoy 44.6 MPG for a bit. My lady in red lifetime avg. is about to go back to 40 MPG while my other fuel tracker app shows 38.8 MPG. Keeps me motivated to drive nicely.
acdii Report post Posted July 15, 2013 So far on this tank I am holding at 48 MPG. I still have 3/8ths tank left or I would have filled up. Be interesting to see what Fuelly goes to after this next fill. 1 hybridbear reacted to this
djminfll Report post Posted July 15, 2013 I'm showing 41.9mpg lifetime on the dash. What kills me is that the average is brought down by my first tankful (and I don't know if it was really full or not - 36.8), then when I brought it in for service and they must have kept the engine on the whole time they worked on it (it went in at 45mpg and came out at 25mpg, overall for that tankful was 33.8). Without these two, I'd be closer to 45mpg overall. 1 corncobs reacted to this

acdii Report post Posted July 15, 2013 (edited) Actually closer to 47 than 48, was at 48 yesterday. Our trip back from Rockford today. \ Yep this is more what I was expecting when I got the first car, so can you say Disappointment? No more disappointment, but loving the car! blinkstafoo182 Report post Posted July 15, 2013 My lifetime average is 38.9 right now. Hoping it will go higher. How much of a difference do y'all see with what the Ford display says and what Fulley says?
djminfll Report post Posted July 15, 2013 I usually find them to be within about 1mpg or so. Fuelly is only as accurate as the info you enter. For example, if you didn't really fill the tank to full, you are going to calculate a higher mpg number. I have only had two fill-ups where there was a big discrepancy - both times, the Ford display gave me a much higher (3-4mpg higher) figure. As of now, my lifetime Fuelly average is 43mpg, the display figure for lifetime is 41.9, so there is a 1.1mpg discrepancy over 6500 miles. I think that is pretty darn close! 1 hybridbear reacted to this

How much of a difference do y'all see with what the Ford display says and what Fulley says? There have been a few topics about this. Our car is off by less than 1 MPG over 15,000+ miles
acdii Report post Posted July 16, 2013 My lifetime is at 43, and fuelly is 41.8. So just over 1 MPG. Huge difference compared to the first car, There was as much as a 3 MPG difference. I should point out the 43 is on the top screen, not trip one which I never reset, I reset the top MPG when I sat at the light leaving the dealership on June 4th when drove it for the first time with 3 miles on it. The Trip one is I think 42.8. so I is very close to what HB said of 1 MPG.
