So, How Many Miles Have You Put on Your FFH?

Recommended Posts

We've had our FFH since the end of November, and just passed the 15,000 mile mark. That equates to 68 miles per day on average, according to my aCar app on my Samsung tablet, with 7 months and 10 days of ownership. How many miles have you put on your FFH?

Today is exactly 3 months since I took delivery and I have 8445 miles on my HyTi! Loved every mile of it!

I took delivery on 2/23/13, I just turned 6100 miles, so I'm way behind the rest of you! That comes to 135 days in use, or 45 miles per day, 1,350 miles per month. However, when I first got my FFH, I was commuting 70 miles per day to work and back; now I work at home, so I should probably average less per day/month as time marches on...

We are pretty close then.... today is exactly 6 months for me, and currently at 17,600.

Our commutes must be fairly similar.

Had mine for 100 days yesterday with 8694 miles. I would have only 3694 miles without the CA road trip.

We've had ours since mid-December and have 15,700 miles. That includes two road trips of about 4,500 miles each. Without the road trips we'd have about 6700 miles in just under 7 months. Our normal driving is 1000 miles or less per month.

2000 miles in 1.75 months with no significant road trips, right on par with the 10-15k miles I told the insurance company.

3200 miles in 34 days. 8400 miles on the other one in 4 months, and it wasn't the primary car. Nearing 3000 on the Flex too. The 2010 had 44K on it when I traded it, and had 34K when I got the first SE FFH. If I had just one car, it would have 26k on it by now starting end of November.

Well, we could ride the horses, but no place to tie them up, and they may frown at the piles of poop they leave behind.

11,000 in 8 months - too many because the car is fun to drive so we find places to go when we would not have gone with the last car.

Isn't hay more expensive than fuel, mile for mile - especially in your neck of the woods?

I know a steaming pile of consumed hay doesn't have as high a BTU rating as gasoline.

Yep cost more per bale than a gallon of gas, but feeds 3 horses a day. The resulting pile of reconfigured hay left over makes great fertilizer, but takes at least 4 years to cool down enough to use without burning the plants. You should see my garden this year, the tomatoes are higher than my kids, and the squash plant is a monster. I think it would be more like miles per pound though, and the high octane hay is very expensive, so we feed the lower octane variety.

I just realized I put 6200 miles on my two cars in 3 months. OUCH!

Our 15,000 + includes a trip from So Cal to Las Vegas last spring. I've had a lot of short trips each day this summer, so when I head out to the driveway, I look at our FFH, then to our VUE, and back to the Ford, and I take the Fusion. LOVE driving it, and can't beat the roughly 45+ MPG I'm getting on that 20 mile round trip each day. That'd be 17 MPG in the VUE!

I'll have mine for 7 weeks tomorrow and will have 3300 by the end of the day, so close to 59 per day. The daily/weekly average has been dropping recently as I put on 1800 in the first 2 weeks after 2 cross-state trips.

Got the car in December and have a bit under 13,000 miles. That's primarily in LA traffic, but it also includes a trip from Los Angeles up the coast to Paso Robles. Currently averaging 46 mpg per tank. I could not be happier with this car.
