It frequently tells me i'm low on fuel and when i fill up (i do the click+5 seconds method 3 times) i only get 8-9 gallons. From what everyone else is posting, i should be filling up around 11 or 12. My warranty ran out last week (i'm at 36,050) and the service tech told me it would cost me a $99 diagnostic fee and take at least an hour, so i'm looking at a $150-200 fix. I wish i had done this a week ago.I believe you can extend your warranty now. It is a good idea to have a warranty on your car as long as you own it. If it had more than 50 miles when you drove it home then you would still be under warranty. Ford's warranty ends at 36000 on the dot regardless of how many miles were on the car when you bought it, unlike other manufacturers. Hopefully, this bodes well for the rest of spring, summer, and fall. Only 5 miles to E, but I could not push it due to travel plans.This morning I was at 572.8 miles with a highway trip ahead. I decided to push it with 45 miles to E. The fuel gauge was in the red, and 7 miles to E, when I refueled 46 miles later.My first 600 Mile tank! I wanted to take a picture, but found I left my cellphone at home!619.0 Miles380.2 EV Miles53.3 Indicated MPG11.812 Gallons to refill the gas tank.I noticed the initial mileage to E reading after refueling is high and quickly goes down to more reasonable numbers as you drive. Do the 2010/2011's get better milage than the newer models? I'd be open to a low mileage used 2010/2011, though I like the looks of 2013 better. Not generally. 2013 + have smaller engine (2.0 vs 2.5), better aerodynamics, better batteries (Lithium vs. Ni-MH) and can run on batteries up to 85 mph instead of only 47 in first gen. But the asking price is close to a new 2015 Fusion Hybrid S. The "S" model just doesn't have power seats, heated mirrors and Sirius/XM correct? All 3 are on the SE? Any other differences? I believe the smaller gas tank was shrunk to cut a little extra weight and that improvements in gas mileage would still allow the car to have the same range. A gallon of gasoline weighs over 6 lbs, so by shrinking the tank by 4 gallons they cut 24 lbs. of possible weight, not counting the little extra the larger tank would would weigh. There are a few S models in my area that are marked down pretty low for Memorial Day. I can live with no power seats and the other stuff. The ONLY thing that I can't deal with is lack of Sirius/XM. I have an aftermarket radio now on my dash and swore I'd never again buy a car without Sirius/XM installed. I've been searching this site to see if it can be added to the stock S model radio, but it doesn't look like it. That really stinks. I'd even pay a decent amount to add it to the stock S radio after purchase. But doesn't seem to be an option. Ugh. Too small, using a remote stinks etc. That's why I said next car "has" to have Sirius/XM. I have the latest Onyx Plus too. If I'm buying again, just want it in the vehicle radio. I understand it's not an option for the S model, but too bad they couldn't have made it easy to add with some sort of module or something. Besides that, I don't really see anything I would miss with the S. I did notice one brochure said "4 speakers" where as another said 6. I'd hope it would have 6. 4 would be terrible and back to the 80's haha. Another thing is there are hardly any blue FFH's around, but oddly enough 3 in the area are S models. Go figure!
