clummus Report post Posted June 9, 2013 it stays from 75 to 50 percent usually. sometimes it gets higher when I'm braking alot. Just curious.
jeff_h Report post Posted June 9, 2013 Yes, on a long downhill it can get to a full battery on the display.
murphy Report post Posted June 9, 2013 It is possible to get the battery to 100% but they actively try to prevent reaching 100% because regen braking would not be possible with the battery at 100%. There has to be someplace to store the energy recovered by regen braking.
corncobs Report post Posted June 9, 2013 If you are saying it stays between 50 and 75 % are you also saying you still can't go / stay in EV mode for any period of time?Depending on speed and road layout flat or uphill it should be very easy to get and stay in EV mode! Just coasting along let's say a 45 MPH on a flat road 0.5 miles at least.
expresspotato Report post Posted June 9, 2013 In the winter you'll see it a whole bunch while the engine runs to keep the occupants warm.
acdii Report post Posted June 9, 2013 "Does the battery ever see a full charge?" No! The computer will never allow it to go over 80% SOC. However, the display on the dash will show it as a full charge. My suggestion to you is to find another member near you and have them go on a drive with you and see if they also have the same issues. If they do get it to the dealer and have them look at it. If they are able to drive it and do well, have them show you what you are doing wrong. At this point this will be your only option. We can only help so much, but without feedback in either a photo, or video, we have pretty much run out of suggestions. 3 rfruth, hybridbear and MXGOLF reacted to this

hybridbear Report post Posted June 9, 2013 Read this and you'll find your answer instead of posting a new topichttp://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/6514-ev-battery-full-charge/ Then if you have additional questions you can add them to an existing thread instead of making new ones all the time 2 jeff_h and neod192 reacted to this

clummus Report post Posted June 9, 2013 I went to search and typed"battery charge" and neods thread did not come up. the search feature isn't always useful..
jeff_h Report post Posted June 9, 2013 I went to search and typed"battery charge" and neods thread did not come up. the search feature isn't always useful.. It is if you think about what you really want... you wanted to know about whether the battery ever had a full charge... use "full charge" as your search string and there's neod's topic on the first results page. Haven't seen it all the way empty yet.
Darkside Report post Posted August 4, 2014 I finally had a full battery. First time in the first 850 miles. I have a blurry pic as I was a surprised and b stopped at a light that turned green right away. Can't post pic from android?
2014FordFusionSE Report post Posted August 23, 2014 Yes, I've seen the battery gauge at full charge, to the very top.I recently used the Fusion to jump start another car and I stepped on the gas pedal to make sure the engine was running. A few minutes later, the battery charged all the way to the top. When I drove to work after that, approx 4.5 miles, my gas mileage was 93 mpg.On that same route, if I drive carefully, I'm able to get 70mpg. I have a blurry pic of the fully charged battery on my phone and will try to upload it. 1 Sleddog reacted to this

GrySql Report post Posted August 24, 2014 Blurry pic of full charge attached You must have been going around a corner real fast, the car is sideways! No wonder it's blurry..... ;) 3 acdii, corncobs and hybridbear reacted to this
Barsoom Report post Posted August 24, 2014 I get it to the top every day on my way to work. I live in a hilly area of the San Francisco East Bay area. I have a short flat run when I leave my home, which is good for warming up the car. Then I go up a short hill and then regen brake all the way down. It's usually full up (or 9/10ths) by the time I make it to the bottom. Then, it's EV most of the way to work on the flat to slight downgrade, and EV+ when I get into the loop road in the business park. I've had it near the bottom on the way home, perhaps 1/10th. There is very little EV going home because of the slight uphill, but it might be at 50% by the time I hit the hill going up again. Once over the top I can EV it again until I get near home, and then it's EV+ from there. I usually leave about 40% charge when I turn off the car. 1 GrySql reacted to this
