Missing my FFH

Dam enterprise gave me an impala which i hate very much, i called them and told them that and they will get me a different car

I miss our FFH too every time it's at the dealer. It's going in Monday to get our long list of issues addressed before our trip. Last time Enterprise gave me a little Nissan Versa. That thing was a piece of crap. But I did get around 35 MPG driving it for a few days. I won't let Enterprise do that to me again though because that is a CCAR (Compact Car) in their classification system. Ford pays for a SCAR (Standard Car). Enterprise gave me a lower price car than what Ford was paying for. I only realized that after driving away. Their policy is that they have to give you the class you pay for or better. Next time I won't let them get away with that. The time before that we had an Impala. The Impala was pretty nice, but sucked gas. I calculated that over the 4 days we had the Impala we spend $18 MORE on gas than we would've spent in our FFH during those 4 days. And that was conservatively estimating our FFH MPGs at 40-45 instead of the 50+ we're now getting.

Yea I drove 80 miles according to the guy n spent a quarter tank it took 20$ to get that much back, he was going to give me a toyota avalon but found the impala in the system so he had to give me that since ford only allows for up to a full size car, yesterday all they had was a nissan altima or a sonata I choiced the altima because of the push start n bluetooth which that sonata lacked

I'm a bit confused. you said they only allow up to a full size car? Thats what an Avalon is. Unless they think of it as a Luxury car.

Not a very smart manager. He'd rather have it sitting on his lot earning nothing rather than have it in service earning something.

I had mine at the dealer twice for the same thing, and they can't duplicate the problem. The first time they gave me a Mazda 3, the second time they gave me a Chevy Cruze. I gotta ask, how does GM stay in business? That Cruze was nowhere near as nice, comfortable, or economical as the Mazda.

We also took a trip in April from Ft. Lauderdale to Tampa to visit family. Since there was going to be a total of 8 people plus needing a baby seat, we decided to rent a minivan so we could all be in one car. We got a Chrysler Town & Country, brand new with only 600 miles on it. I never felt so good as I did when I got to drop my butt back in my own FFH when we got back, I missed it so much!

agreed that impala for a '13 car lacks alot of features, i wondered myself that, the altima no where near as comfortable as the fusion but is a little better, i do wish my fusion had the stereo the altima has pretty loud for a stock radio

 

guess driving a hybrid has changed my style of driving when i got the car the mpg avg was 23, after 3 days of driving its up to 25.1 mpg

Our car is back at the dealer again. We have a 2012 Ford Focus SEL. It already has 31,000 miles on it. It's not terrible. Got 39 MPG driving from the dealer back to the office. Of all the rental cars we've been given by Enterprise the Focus is the best I think

My dealer has an 80 car loaner fleet. They range from old Mitsubishi's to Lincolns and Cadillacs. They try to give you something comparable to what you drove in. The Camry I was given last time left me wanting though.

hope you get back sooner than mine since the service manager conformed Lilly is leaking gas, they are waiting on ford to send them the replacement module soon

i wish they did here in nyc they dont have space for that so rental companies love them for that, only places i have seen that have loaners are usually the luxury brands

This is one of those places that has pretty much all the non-luxury brands all rolled into one dealer along like a mile stretch of road. Each one (Ford, Chrysler/Dodge, Kia, Toyota, Chevy, etc.) has their own building and lot, but it's all the same people. So they have quite the process for maintenance and loaners. I was skeptical about a place like that initially, but so far they've done pretty well for me.

Nevermind about the Focus, the last one we had was ok, this one seems to have been really abused and the transmission really shifts roughly...going to get our car back today. Fortunately they found that our fuel module does not leak :)

Completely agree; I have had the Impala quite a few times as a rental. I have never enjoyed it, but I can't quite put my finger on what it is I don't like about it.

i think its the way it drives and the fact that its a cop car in my neighborhood didnt help either, but i like the altima they gave me but still prefer my ffh

another week and no change still, this time i got a call from the general manager apologizing because they havent been able to fix my car and the parts they are waiting for is on back order still

 

if i keep driving this altima im going to have to relearn to drive my Lilly again

im going to call them to see which part they are waiting for, if its both the fuel module and the thrust washer im going to find out about trading it in and getting a titanium FFH

Not sure I would have your patience. If I wanted to drive something that wasn't a FFH I would have bought something else. At the very least I would be pressuring the dealer and Ford to get me another FFH as a loaner, that is what you paid for after all.

 

If NY has a lemon law with a 4 week period I would start investigating it and talk to the dealer about it. This may help pressure them into some positive action.

the thing is i have already started to lose my patience and i am waiting on response from the customer relations coordinator to get back to me but on the 4th it will be in there shop exactly a month, my fiance works at a law firm and said she will speak to one of the partners there to see who to contact to get that ball in motion

so i went to search if im considered under the lemon law

 

Duty to Repair:

A reasonable chance for a manufacturer or its authorized agent to repair a problem for a new car is considered to be:

• Four or more attempts to repair and the problem continues to exist; OR
• The car is out of service by reason of repair of one or more problems for a cumulative total of 30 days or more.

looks like i may be covered under the lemon law
