Koi Report post Posted June 1, 2013 We ordered a 2014 Fusion Hybrid SE yesterday, hoping to have it ready for when we move in late August. In case anyone's wondering, the MSRP is still $27,200, and the price for Reverse Sensing and Remote Start is also unchanged. I also got the Technology Package, which appears to have gone up to $995 (from $895). I don't think the package contents changed though, at least from what the dealer told me. Koi Report post Posted June 1, 2013 Which color did you spring for? And congrats! Thanks. We went with deep impact blue, and black ecocloth seats. I like red too, but my wife (somewhat surprisingly) preferred blue.
jeff_h Report post Posted June 1, 2013 Thanks. We went with deep impact blue, and black ecocloth seats. I like red too, but my wife (somewhat surprisingly) preferred blue. I feel like I got a second user ID. When ordering mine, I stood in the dealer lot doing the tennis match routine, looking left to the Ruby Red, then right to the Deep Impact Blue, and back-n-forth etc etc. Decided on the Ruby Red for me, then after we had mine for 3 months decided that we were tired of spending so much money putting gas into her Edge. So we bought an Energi for her and now also have a Deep Impact Blue, so we love either color! However I don't have a warm fuzzy that your 2014 will arrive by mid August (how about end of August?), but sure hope that you get it in time!!

We don't own a car currently and we're renting one for the move. We just came back from a visit to our new home and ordered the Fusion there, so when we make the rental reservation I hope to have a decent estimate of when we can expect our car and we'll keep the rental until then. thuss Report post Posted June 2, 2013 Can I ask your reason for waiting for the 2014 model? What feature made you want to wait?
Koi Report post Posted June 2, 2013 Can I ask your reason for waiting for the 2014 model? What feature made you want to wait? When I contacted the dealer and said we wanted the car by late August, he said that would make it a 2014 model. I don't think I ordered any option that isn't also available on the 2013, so the only reason we ended up with a 2014 is because of when we're moving to our new place. 1 thuss reacted to this
rhombixt Report post Posted June 2, 2013 I just ordered my Ford Fusion Hybrid Titanium fully loaded, all options, all accessories last month. I wanted to wait for the Air Conditioned seats and Heated steering wheel which will help big time in the winter for me. I was told sometime around December is when I will get my car. November 4th is the official production date they gave me for the a/c seats arriving at the factory. So hopefully it will be here for Christmas. 2 hybridbear and Toz reacted to this

acdii Report post Posted June 3, 2013 I have the cooled seats in my Flex, and honestly, cant really tell the difference. Then again, maybe the one in my Flex is not working correctly as it doesn't really cool much. The one in the F150 would freeze your @$$ off, but the one in the MKS is like the Flex, takes a long time and then it feels like I have wet pants. You are going to love this car, which sounds just like mine. I couldn't resist any option that was available. One I WOULD have resisted, though, is a heated steering wheel. This is a hybrid electric vehicle, after all. Do you truly want something as unessential as a heated steering wheel sucking the very life out of your HVB? In my opinion, that's for gas guzzlers, and I predict that once you get the hypermiling bug, you'll leave the heated wheel switched off and rely on a less expensive option -- gloves, which have had several centuries to evolve toward perfection. :victory: 1 acdii reacted to this

hermans Report post Posted August 24, 2013 I was at the dealer yesterday for service on an older car I have and I walked the lot. The 2014s are rolling in. They have 7 2013 MKZs of which none are hybrids and 5 2014 MKZs of which 2 are hybrids. They have 8 2013 Fusions 0 hybrids and 3 3014 Fusions of which 2 are hybrids. One is sold already and has yet to be prepped. It was dealer ordered and sold about an hour after it came off the truck. It's Sunset and pretty. I hate driving with gloves, because it makes it so much harder to use even big buttons, I can only imagine how hard it would be to use the controls on the HyTi. Yes, in spite of the name it is not a capacitative touch screen. It is a pressure screen. The buttons below the screen also work with my leather gloves on.
