itschris Report post Posted May 18, 2013 The premium floor Matt set leaves much to be desired. No wonder they tossed it in as part of the deal. If you're considering this option... Don't. They really no better than the stock give away set. They're only 20oz carpet mats. Most high end Matt's are 32 or more. That being said, has anyone gotten custom heavy carpeted Matt's they really like?. I'm thinking about a set of Lloyd's Matt's through auto anything, but would like to hear about others. itschris Report post Posted May 18, 2013 I was going to go with the Lux version, but maybe no now. They're even more expensive. I'll spend $150 or so, if they're worth it, but like you, I'm sick of spending money on "the good stuff" only to be disappointed. If anyone has a great source, please post it up. Thanks guys. acdii Report post Posted May 18, 2013 Since my driveway is gravel I take the factory mats and put them in the trunk and use either Husky or Weathertech. So much easier to clean up, getting that fine grit out of the carpet is a royal pain.

corncobs Report post Posted May 18, 2013 I 100% agree with the ease of cleanability; took me only 10 min to clean up my sons mess after a 5000 mile road trip; I can't imagine the time I would have spend cleaning the carpet from all the crumbs 1 acdii reacted to this
acdii Report post Posted May 18, 2013 Tell me about it, I dont have them for the Flex yet, a set is well over $200 for all 3 rows. I have to clean it today before the grit works too deep. The made a huge difference in our 10 FFH, I pull them out and the carpet is pristine, but since I dont have them on the back, but the OEM all weathers, I had some clean up to do from the little mud pits. itschris Report post Posted May 18, 2013 I thought out the weather tech style, but for my needs, I'm just looking for the really heavy duty super plush carpeted ones.

jeff_h Report post Posted May 18, 2013 Neither the premium nor the all-weather are worth the money to me, due to the under-sized mat for the driver's area, as shown below. Look at the much better coverage in the pic that Acdii posted above, those are the better buy hands-down if you ask me. 1 Fastronaut reacted to this
itschris Report post Posted May 18, 2013 Let us know if you find something great.I think I'm going to seriously consider these. They look like really nice matts....54oz carpet... The plushest I've seen yet. Good reviews. I guess I'll be the forum guinea pig. I'm gonna look just a bit more before I pull the trigger. http://www.autosportcatalog.com/autosport-floor-mats/autosport-super-plush-mats.cfm 3 Fastronaut, GrySql and bcrisp reacted to this

bcrisp Report post Posted May 20, 2013 These do look worthy! Does anyone suppose we could leverage a group order for something of a volume discount (maybe 10 people?)?
itschris Report post Posted May 20, 2013 I'll look into that. Can't hurt to give them a call. Stand by for results.
itschris Report post Posted May 20, 2013 (edited) Well good news... I just spoke with the guys at AutoSport and they'd be interested in trying to work out a deal for a group buy on their Super Plush matts. Is there an Admin or someone with someone with some type of authority I can put them in contact with? We probably need at least 20 members to go for a deal so it would be more of a site campaign rather than just me saying "hey... buy some matts" not to mention that I'm not keen on overstepping my bounds here. smr2112 Report post Posted May 20, 2013 I purchased a custom made set of Luxury Berber mats that I love. Had same thingon the 2010 FFH. Black is the color you want if you have a Titanium, but you can request samples. I switch to the Husky or WeatherTech whenthe weather gets bad. But these cover up the "under petal area" fully. Won't get any heavier duty carpet than these. European Style Luxury Berber(42 oz. Woven Nylon Yarn)Price: $139.95 http://qualitycarmats.com/ Takes about 10 days and fit perfect. 1 dalesky reacted to this

The ones I'm looking at and trying toget a group buy on are 52oz carpeting. I had Berber in my Audi and they were a bitch to clean, though black woudn't be such a problem. It's just personal liking, but I gravitate toward the more plush style matts. I drive about 45 miles round trip, and it actually makes a different having a really deep soft foundation for your feet. BTW - Admins? Someone with clout and authority?

BTW - Admins? Someone with clout and authority? I clean car mats with some stuff I get at Home Depot. It's a degreaser, and absolutely takes out anything from mats or carpet. I scrub them on the driveway, after getting them wet, then rinse thoroughly after scrubbing with a stiff brush. It even removes dried road tar that is smeared in deeply. It's called Greased Lightening and comes in a yellow 32 oz spray bottle.

I hope you kept them since you're getting a HyTi now! Also, my parents have those same rubber floor tiles at their house in parts of the basement to make the concrete floor easier to stand on. Hey already have the floor mats for it! :) I have those tiles and also the dark gray ones that cover 2/3rds of my workshop. When the basement flooded, they were floating.
