My 12v battery was the only issue that required a trip to the dealer. They charged it two weeks ago and everything has been perfect since. I'd be a little more confident if it had been replaced.

Is anyone else having trouble with the one-touch power windows? Sometimes my front windows will not roll all the way up with one click. Sometimes they do. bizarre.

Yes, it's caused by a low charge on the 12V battery. Do some searched here and on BOF as there are quite a few threads on this issue. You can hold the button down 1-2 seconds after the window opens or closes to restore the functionality, but it'll be a temporary fix. The battery is the real cause in most cases.

"Oh no, not again." This time I'm going to make sure they deal with the 12v battery!

Could someone Post a picture of the Wrong Shift knob and then the Correct one Please. Thanks

The bottom photo is My Shifter on in my car which is NOT the leather wrapped which I'm supposed to have, the top photo with the silver looking insert on top on the shifter is the one I need to get since it comes the 505a Luxury pkg. which I paid for...

I curious with all the newer HyTi owners who have recently received their cars if they are having more or less issues than those of us with earlier build Hybrid SEs

Good question, I sure hope that is the case. The last thing I want is to have the new one spend ANY time in a service bay other than getting its shoes moved and life blood replaced.

My list keeps growing ... lots of issues with the plastic trim around the doors.

I'm having issues with the plastic trim pieces behind the little triangular windows on the front part of the doors (not sure what the real name for that is). Those pieces keep pulling apart at the top. I plan to take the car in pretty soon to have them fix this; was thinking about trying to glue it myself but my husband thought I should let them do it. Hopefully they do it with the right glue, and not whatever they used at the factory.

Yup, that's what mines doing... The car is curved and the plastic is straight... Bad design.

Yes, it's like the plastic there is too rigid to hold the curve.

Just got my car back from the dealer. The things they were fixing (since last Thursday I should add):

- Cracking noise. They fixed both sides, no noise now. I'm happy with that.

- Shift knob replacement. Have the correct knob now and the wiring was done correctly. All good.

- "A" pillar next to the driver's side windshield. It wasn't a good fit from the factory. They replaced it and it seems to be fine now. Cool.

- Headliner pulling up around edge near windshield. Okay. I'm pretty sure they replaced the whole headliner, which is why the whole fix took 5 days. No issues with the headliner itself. BUT they admittedly broke a spring in one of the "oh crap" handles in the back in the process and had to order a new part for that. Also, things I noticed on my drive home that weren't apparent in the shop, to me: The glasses holder and plastic assembly where the dome lights are is still loose and I can't get it back in snugly... and as I was driving the little cover piece for the microphone above my head fell out. It doesn't seem to want to snap back in either. It was apparently only hanging onto the headliner by a thread. That's a shortcut somebody took I'm sure. These issues, as well as the constant delays and lack of communication are making me consider using a different dealer for my service needs. We'll see how they handle things next before I make a decision.

Two issues:

First was the MFT/Sync update, which required a trip to the dealer to get a new nav chip. We purchased the car from a dealer further from our desired dealer, as they had the one in stock that I wanted, but we are having service done at the Ford dealership that's a quick 10 minutes away. Had to get special permission from Ford (or so I was told) for the nearby dealer to install the new nav SD card without cost to me, which I felt was odd, but it was taken care of. It took them a second day to properly get the update done, however.

Second issue was the gear shift knob being the wrong one, and that was a pretty quick fix as they ordered the part for me and it was ready to be installed when I brought in the car.

I've had similar bad experiences so far at both my selling dealer and the close dealer to our apt. I'm not sure I want to begin a relationship with another dealer when I've had bad experiences with these 2.

Considering that most dealerships bread and butter is service, you would think they would do a better job so they can keep you as a customer, especially after the warranty runs out. My dealer has always done right by me, so even for something like that busted wheel bearing tht I could have had repaired at a local grease monkey shop, I had the car towed to the dealer to have it done. Most likely it cost me more than it should have, but it was done correctly with Ford parts.

I have a friend who owns an independent shop and he has always done me right with all my cars. I can even bring in after market stuff and they install it, I love that.

I had them do my first oil/filter with the FFH.

Now, anything to do with the FFH warranty it goes to a Ford Dealer a long way away because they are the best around and they respect each Ford customer.

I tried two local Ford Dealers and read reviews about all the other nearby Dealers until I was dizzy (easy to do). be.gif

Let the buyer beware...

Well Guys I'm DONE with FORD FOREVER. Never again another Ford Product, I've learned my lesson this time.

Their Products Sucks, their SERVICE Sucks, My Dealership Really SUCKS and I can't find a dealership within 60 miles of me that has any rating above 3 stars.

I'm the Proud New owner of a 2014 RED Cadillac XTS. Sold the Fusion today.

I'm sooooooo sick of this FORD Dealership & their lousy SERVICE, if that's what you call it. They Can't fix anything nor do they have the personal or parts to fix it at the time it needs fixing.

Good Luck to the rest of you Guys & Gals. I feel sorry for you and the Problems you'll be having in the future that FORD CAN'T Fix.

Sorry about your adventures in Fordland and sorry to hear about your dealer issues. Dealers are the bane of all manufacturers - they can make or break the brand. However your experiences, if documented, would be good to share with Ford if the system is ever going to change. They need to understand what is going on in the field and you have an opportunity to help them.

Good luck with the Caddy - nice looking car also. ;)

Those are kinder words to say about Ford than I would say. I've been in contact with Ford Corporate, more than Once and they are of NO HELP, as all the rest of you have been and seen. All they do is apologize for the Dealership and say carry on , business as usual. Nothing is going to change and I for one am tired of waiting for ALL these Fixes to take place when they don't even know How to fix them, have the Parts or Personal and denies they even have a problem. Yes I understand it's Big business and that's how they All do it but in this case I'm done with these Ford folks because all I've ever had is BAD FORD PRODUCTS x3. Every Ford product I've ever owned had dealership, Service problems and I've been buying Cars since 1965.

I'm done beating this dead horse because I'm moving on in a Positive direction. I want to Enjoy my new car, not dread it and now that This FORD Dealership has upset my Wife ( the main Driver of the Ford) , this Caddy Service Dept. which BTW has a 4.5 Star Rating and the Dealership has a 5 Star Rating is like Night and Day difference to Ford's 2 or 3 Star Ratings. Plus the Service folks are all smiling and helpful from what I'd over heard them talking to other Customers. They took us on a tour, it's Very Nice and Clean. The reason for the Service Area tour, I told them about our Horrible experience with our Ford Dealership's Service.

As I said earlier, Good Luck to ALL of you.

It's true, dealerships make or break a brand. I too have dealt with Ford Corporate, and they are a bunch of fools. The saving grace to me is I have a VERY good dealer, they treat you like a friend, not a customer. A friend is someone who is there to help you when you need it, and that is what Harvard Ford has been. Had it not been for them, I would have gone elsewhere, probably back to Toyota and the Avalon, but thankfully they helped me through a bad situation and I have been very happy with my replacement. Sorry yours didn't work out, hope you enjoy the new car.

erichFla - I am glad you were able to get rid of the Ford thing and regain your mental health. I have never in 54 years of buying cars had one that was a troublesome and unreliable as my 2013 Fusion Hybrid. The dealership I use has a good service department but the product is defective but I have to live with it until funds allow purchase of something that can be trusted. Good luck and enjoy your replacement.

Bought my '13 FFH in October of 2013. No problems that have caused me to take it back to the dealer. It now has ~11k miles, so... so far so good.

Never buy a first year new model holds true. Many of those who have issues are those who purchased Job1 cars. My first was a Job1, and was a PITA, the one I have now is Job2, and has been great. Other than the trim pieces on the front doors, replaced under warranty with updated ones, squeaking drivers wiper, again replaced under warranty with updated parts, and a paint chip on the bumper from an over tightened fastener, repainted under warranty, the car has been good.

MPG is right where I expect it to be, everything works fine, MFT has been trouble free, and the car is a pleasure to drive. I also have an exceptional dealer which helped me work through the issues with the first car.
