storksb Report post Posted March 10, 2013 Thought it would be interesting to see if any correlation between MPG and MFT Version. I suspect not. There has been lots of speculation around build dates but from what I have read that is likely a red herring.
RedLdr1 Report post Posted March 10, 2013 I doubt there is any correlation... Not all Ford Hybrids even have MFT, you have to buy the option, and some still get better gas mileage than others. Of course cussing and pounding on the dash while trying to get MFT to actually work would probably cause lower MPG as it would influence your driving techniques... ;) 1 elle reacted to this
expresspotato Report post Posted March 10, 2013 Fuel economy is controlled by the power train ECU (separate than the main ECU). MFT it separate as well with its own unit. This thread would have been better off describing the ECU firmware installed. To put the left display into engineering mode insert your key, hold the left OK button and start the car. Engineering mode for me described the following: - Man Date: 120101 - B&A Config Bytes: 07 27 11 64 70 5E 2F 50 - Part No: DS7T-MH - Core: DS7T-LH - Cal#1: DS7T-LH - S/W: DS7T-LH

Will post my ET mode data shortly.

storksb Report post Posted March 13, 2013 So looking at the small poll results it appears that there is no link between MPG and MFT version. As I expected, thanks to those that took part in the poll.
