Seeing other 2013 Fusions

Recommended Posts

I like playing the exhaust game and make people wonder how does this car move forward without getting big exhaust cloud coming out the back.

Not sure I many drivers will actually notice probably just people like us. ;)

I do that too. I really want to be behind another FFH to see it too. The FFH seems to make a big cloud when the ICE is on too. The Prius never really seems to make much of a cloud.

Well it has this dinky little tail pipe, surprised it can put anything out it. I think my Kubota has a larger exhaust pipe. Now a honda Civic Hybrid, talk about a cloud! I could not see the car through the cloud of steam it produced.

The amount of steam/vapor that you see coming out of the tailpipe in the winter can vary greatly depending on how long the ICE has been running and warming up the exhaust sytem (pipes, catalyic converter and muffler). On my Focus during cold temperatures the vapor cloud is very noticeable when the car is cold but mostly disappears after the ICE and exhaust system is hot.

With a conventional car, like a Focus, if there is little or no vapor exhaust on a cold day it is a safe bet the exhasut system is hot from running longer and a large amount of vapor suggests a cold car. On a hybrid it likely takes longer for the exhaust system to become hot since the ICE may be running less resulting in more vapor for a longer period of time.

Just came back home from a boys night out ;)

I saw two Fusion in CL driving back home. 1 RR FFTI EB and 1 Gray? FFH was hard to tell from one car behind.

We see a lot of new Fusions around Minneapolis, but very few hybrids. We see more first gen FFHs than second gen FFHs around here.

I saw a 2014 Hybrid S today, it had no fog lights and no turn signals in the side mirrors. This was the first to see "in the wild". I still have not seen a HyTi in the wild.

I see quite a few hybrids now, all are SE. There is one at the Walgreens on 14 and Virginia that I see daily, and a silver one I pass daily in Woodstock, and occasionally see others around as I drive, saw a black SE FFH and followed it for miles.

Saw a white Energi this afternoon. It was driving in hybrid mode, I saw exhaust when the driver accelerated.

Had plenty of time in Friday traffic today to look around, as we were inching along I saw a white Hybrid S (I think) in the next lane.

They S trim looks so strange without the turn signal mirrors and without the lower body color molding on the trunk...

I saw a Ruby Red one parked two spaces over from mine yesterday. Looked nice with the black rims too!

The very same RR FFH now also drives around with an awesome clear plastic grill cover.

Thank you acdii! :)

Yeah it was a bit tricky since I choose to drill the outer holes right on the bended area.

Not easy to get the cable ties back out but I got it done. I will take a pic tomorrow it was already dark when I was done.

Yesterday I passed a white MKZh the driver was driving very cautiously and she followed me for some time. Today I got passed by a RR Fusion non-hybrid. Later in my drive I was driving alongside a black MKZh but with dealer plates.

When I pulled into my parking lot yesterday I thought I was being stalked. There was a RR Fusion, but it wasn't a hybrid.

Pulled up next to a Fusion Hybrid (Ginger I believe) on my way home. I noticed the passenger checking out my car furiously. I did my "show off" jack rabbit launch off the light and proceeded to cruise from there. Then I noticed them kinda give chase and follow behind me. Love the Fusion love! lol

I saw a Titanium out the window at work today. The halo tail lights looked great from a distance in the blizzard we're getting.
