rjent Report post Posted May 6, 2013 That is nice to hear. We too have the luxury package and so far love the seats. I am an ex-trucker (in my younger day) and I can put 1000 miles a day on with ease. At my age, it is not as easy is it used to be LOL, but we still do it. Put an audio book/series on (this year is the Millennium series (Girl with the dragon tatoo)). So far I have never had a car this comphy. And that is saying something. We plan on back road US highway and State highway routes. We are in no hurry. I look forward to our trips. Thanks corns, I appreciate the the effort of your feedback! @ rjentYou will be more than pleased with the comfort of your FFH as long road trip car. With our Chicago / LA road trip we have about 4200 miles logged so far and it's still fun. I usually have a problem sitting for a long period of time in the same spot if the seat is uncomfortable; not once did I have an issue with the seat of the Fusion (Lux Pkg) it's very very comfy. Now I have realized that with lane assist and ACC it would have been even more relaxing. One last point enjoy the driving and don't worry about the MPG too much; the FFH does well in long distance MPG but 47 MPG at Interstate speed is not possible and we all agree it wasn't built for this purpose. 1 hybridbear reacted to this

We did some 14-15 hour days on our trip to California in January and both my wife and I felt refreshed at the end of the day. In other cars you end up exhausted and cranky after a long day on the road, but not in the Fusion. We got 44 MPG on our trip back in January. I'm hoping for a similar result on our next big road trip in June. This time we're going to drive across Canada from Manitoba to the west coast visiting family all along the way. acdii Report post Posted May 9, 2013 100% agree one of the most comfortable cars I have owned, right next to the Flex. The Flex is a bit bigger though so it better be! When I first sat in the new FFH I noticed how soft the seats felt compared to the old one. Then when I got it all adjusted, it felt even better. I too am an ex-trucker, so long drives for me are easy. The trip to Florida was nice, made it all the way from IL to near GA, and not a single cramp or butt sore, and it was a LONG drive, dont know why, but driving through IL took forever! With the ACC on, and the phone connected to USB with Pandora, it made it a very nice trip(except for the MPG obsession). Compared the 2010 to the 2013 for long trips, the 13 is far better, I wouldn't want to drive the 10 for a long trip, 2 hours a day is enough! I do wonder how a Cmax would be on a long trip though, I think the center console would be the issue on that one.
