runutzzzzz Report post Posted July 16, 2010 (edited) Took me about an hour and a half but it's well worth it! The reason it's grey is because that was all I could find, when a beige one pops up I'll switch out the face plate. akirby Report post Posted July 19, 2010 Were did you get the parts from? What parts did you need? All you need is a homelink transceiver (ebay has tons) - visors are the most popular but some vehicles had them in the overhead or center console area. Then you just mount it wherever you want it and supply constant 12V power. If you have a lighted vanity mirror in the driver's visor then you just connect the wires from the homelink to those wires - it just needs a constand 12V positive and negative. I bought a Maxima visor and retrofit it to my Fusion visor. Works great.
Buster1 Report post Posted August 14, 2010 LOVE IT. This will be my first mod (after tint and clearbra) . Such a useful thing in my other rides, I need this in the Fusion!

I too was disappointed that my 2010 Fusion with the "electronics package" didn't have Homelink. I got mine out of a 2000 Windstar, but haven't had the guts to cut on my headliner yet. What did you use as a template and what did you cut it with? I was a little worried the headliner would be too thick for the face plate to snap on to the module. Can you see the module and wiring between the headliner gap and the sunroof? Thanks for sharing.
Buster1 Report post Posted August 22, 2010 runutzzzzz, Can you post some 'instructions' or some detail on how to wire it in, what to cut, etc?
drocpsu Report post Posted September 3, 2010 this is awesome. After only 2 days of owning my Fusion, i'm already missing my homelink. I would love to install one in this car!
