DiNGoD Report post Posted June 21, 2010 (edited) Hi there... new to the forum. I LOVE MY FUSION! Best car I've ever driven. Ok that's out of the way... I don't get any warning chime or notification if I leave the moonroof open and lock the vehicle? Is this normal? Kind of scary if you accidentally leave it open overnight? It's the only bad thing I can say about this car! Edited June 21, 2010 by DiNGoD

akirby Report post Posted June 21, 2010 Nope - no warnings. Nor have I seen a vehicle that does give you warnings like that. Do you have some examples?
DiNGoD Report post Posted June 21, 2010 I've never had a moonroof car before so I was a bit surprised that there wasn't a light or something that told you it was open. Not a huge deal. D
Lexicon Report post Posted June 21, 2010 As an example, the Camry Hybrid does show a warning in the instrument cluster information display and chimes if the moonroof is left open and ignition switched off. A feature I miss on the FFH, although I think the Fusion has the Camry beat in most (if not all) other departments.
DaveM Report post Posted June 21, 2010 Ya got a big hole in the roof that you can see before getting out which in my opinion a lot bigger than a tiny light on the panel. If you still miss it before getting out again look at the roof there is STILL a big hole there
rfruth Report post Posted June 22, 2010 I leave mine open (& windows down) when ever possible (in garage at home etc.) no warning or alarm issue ((yea!))

A feature I miss on the FFH, although I think the Fusion has the Camry beat in most (if not all) other departments. This would be annoying to me. I quite often leave mine open when it's a hot day to keep the car ventilated...would bother me if the car tried to tell me that I needed to shut the moonroof. rfruth Report post Posted June 23, 2010 (edited) Any way to defeat the carpeted cardboard thing from not sliding when the moon roof is open without damaging it ? (the other day I was stopped at a light with the roof open & a 18 wheeler (tractor trailer) pulled up next to me, it was loud & stunk) wish i could have closed the cover for just a minute till the light turned green ((just close the moon roof its power ?))
