Current upgraded: the lowbeams and fogs to HID's, and installed a chrome lower mesh grill, and chrome door pillars, red LED dome and map lights, headlight LED strips, & seat covers.

Future plans: 20" wheels (chrome), tinted windows (black), paint matched interior accents, indash nav/DVD system (Alpine), new door speakers (JL audio evolution setup) with a 12" sub (JL w6 powerd by JL amp), tons of dyno mat (door, trunk, and possibley roof), yellow top battery, a cold air intake (K&N or Steeda), and lowering springs.

What I would like to see: Chrome LED tail lights

What have you done? And what are your plans?

I have added Lloyd Berber Carper Floor Mats, and Trunk Mat. I had 35% Tint installed on the (4) door windows and back window. I have painted the entire underside of the car with Black Rustoleum paint. I had CP paint protection film applied to the front of the hood, fenders, and to the back of the mirrors. I also had it installed on the top of the rear bumper at the trunk opening. I plan to paint the front License plate bracket and the rear bumper deflector to match the color of the car - Light Ice Blue. Thats it for now!

is this the first time you have used that protective film? does it work well and how much did that cost?

So far on my 2010 I have put in 50w HID's in the low beams, 35w in the fogs, 6000k. 35% tint on windshield with a 5% strip, 15% on front windows, 4% on the remaining 3 windows. 2 12 inch alpine type r subs with a jl j2 1000w amp. Coming soon in about a week I will be painting the calipers blue, putting vinyl smoke film on the headlights and tailights, wrapping all chrome pieces in vinyl matte black wrap, putting some of that wrap in between the tailights on the trunk where it dips in (if you know what im trying to say) and then ordering the spoiler from 3dcarbon. still debating if im going to body color match the spoiler or vinyl wrap it. Also i will be adding a dome override switch as soon as i can get the wiring diagram for the interior lights main power line.

jona2125: I'm real interested in your information for the dome light over-ride. My wife's last two GM vehicles have had an interior light kill switch, so I've gotten used to having it.

I'd be interested in the dome override. Have it in my Tahoe and it is very useful.

What is it used for?

Its great if you have the doors open for a while at night so it doesn't attract every insect to the inside of the car.... many more uses too.

having the ability to turn off the dome light is very useful. you can turn off your car, pull the key out and sit it in at night without blinding yourself or causing attention in a parking lot. the ultimate goal would be while the car is running, and you turn the lights off at night, the dash is like a flashlight on your face, the only fix is to turn on the parking lights. i have my guage lights all the way down whenever i drive at night and when i get home and am on the phone in my driveway i like to sit and enjoy the ac on hot summer nights while i talk on the phone for a minute and if i turn off my parking lights, my eyes are blinded, if i turn off my car and pull the key out, same problem. it gets annoying at times.

Got the headlights and tails tinted yesterday and just finished wrapping the grille an hour ago, ill post day pics tommorow. fyi my headlights are useless at the moment, very dissapointed, bought the light tint for my headlights and they are worse than the halogens through it. ill give it a week to cure and see if it gets better before i remove it and get the iron which is half the darkness. also the main reason for wrapping my grille was because after 6 months, the chrome had about 4-5 years worth of pitting so i was very pissed. its a lease so id rather cover it up and have them worry about it when i turn it in. anyways heres the pics.

next project is to paint the calipers two tone, black and blue, spray paint the remaining chrome trim besides the rear trunk piece flat black because wrapping it all is way to challenging and to body color match the trunk chrome piece and wrap everything below the license plate lights on the trunk with matte black vinyl, should look nice in my opinion. what do you all think?

Day shot of the matte black grille. headlight tint coming off to go lighter, it's a little dark at night through a tinted windshield. Fog lights do all the work now. will be posting diagram for the dome light override when i get a chance to start that project and boot up alldata

This is the courtesy (interior) lighting diagram. I will be wiring a switch into the blue wire off the smart junction box. This will be a dome override switch of the lights when you take the key out, unlock your car, or open your door. This still allows you individual control of the lights if you press the button to turn them on. Correct me if I'm wrong but should work flawlessly.

nope not at all. its a lease.

So do you have to remove all that stuff, HID, black stuff, whatever, before the car is returned? Like if you did put on new rims, would they expect the originals back, and maybe charge you or something?

well the thing i meant was that because it is a lease, everything i put into that car modification wise will have to be removed so i dont wanna spend $1000+ on rims to take them of and not have any use for them after. I dont mind throwing away $500 on tint and hids and all that because over 3 years its not much of a loss. rims are too big of investment with no return once the car is gone. If i get bored with the car later I might put rims on it but its just a daily driver, i would love to do alot to it like turbo it and swap the milan seats into it but its not worth all the time and money to watch it drive away in 3 years. I have an excursion to mess with and next year i am picking up a 2011 Silverado 2500 HD LTZ as a truck to screw around with so im not to worried about not being able to mod this car to the extent i want. its pretty much done now. all i wanted to do was tint it, black the chrome, and dome override. I know it kinda sounds contridicting when i say i dont mind spending all the money on the tint and matte black but i dont wanna spend money on rims its just i like those rims so im not gonna fix something that aint broke. especially when i gotta change it back in the end. if any of that makes sense lol.

This is a nice car though not going to lie. I still dont know if i will buy it out at the end of the lease.

I have a 2010 Fusion SE V6 3.0. Custom cold air intake. I have machined tiranium valves. Custom cams, crank, lifters rods and forged pistons. I have 55W hids in the low beams running 8k 35w in the foglights running 3k and 35w in the highbeams running 6k for trips or 3k around town. Custom leds around the foglight bezels. Full led interior swap. Front grill is blacked out. Emblems are no longer blue and chrome. They are black with hand painted color matching sangria red metallic (cars factory color) 25% tint on windows behind frivers door 30% on driver and passenger window as police will scrape tint off windows for illegal %. Kenwood double din cd player replacing factory unit. Chrome and silver pieces in interior are color matched. Gauge cluster leds have beenswapped from white to red. Window switches, hvac controls, steering wheel controls, headlight switch all changed to red. (I do offer the service) full led conversion of blinkers and tail lights, liscense plate light leds kept frying. So back to filament. Custom headers, FULL cat back exhaust. Kw coilovers with 18" sparco pistas on hankook 245 35 18 for summer with factory steels (i have a second set if interested) wrapped in hankook ipikes for winter. Sorry ford but factory michelons are WORTHLESS in north dakota winter. Videos of my fusion are on my youtube channel LOLIFE2010. Speakers all changed to quantom audio. Wow. I never really wrote it all down before....
