bren5666 Report post Posted February 25, 2010 Has anyone installed the Ford molded spash guards on their Fusion? Did the make any difference? I just received my front and rear guards and they are so small I can't believe they would protect anything.
xmech2k Report post Posted February 25, 2010 Haven't installed them yet, but I thought the same thing when I got them. I was glad I used the uperbowl money I won on them, or I would have been a bit dissappointed, though I don't expect truck mud flaps, either...
DJE Report post Posted February 25, 2010 Sorry guys. I hate mud flaps on cars. They take away from the beautiful lines.
FFHdriver Report post Posted February 25, 2010 (edited) Haven't installed them yet, but I thought the same thing when I got them. I was glad I used the uperbowl money I won on them, or I would have been a bit dissappointed, though I don't expect truck mud flaps, either...Mine have been installed for almost two weeks but it hasn't rained so I don't know how well they work. If you live where it's rained, find a muddy road and report back. Edited February 26, 2010 by FFHdriver
xmech2k Report post Posted March 1, 2010 Well, I finally got around to installing them yesterday. Still can't believe they're $50 a pair.... I thought they'd be securing to metal, but just through the plastic. Anyways, it probably won't rain in socal again for light 8 or 9 months, but if it does, I'll put my 2 cents in, too. And DF, I'm not a mud flap fan on cars, either, but these hardly qualify!
pcsgrp35se Report post Posted March 2, 2010 I called the company that designed them. They gave me part number of AE5Z-16A-550-BA Are these the correct part number for a sport? Also, did they come unpainted
xmech2k Report post Posted March 2, 2010 Don't have the #'s here, I'm at work, but if you go to the Ford accessories sight, you can put your VIN in and it'll cough up the #'s. They're unpainted. I prefer them black, though, but that's personal preference.

Fuze-ion Report post Posted March 3, 2010 Has anyone gotten any aftermarket brand and installed? I tried searching for a few minutes on Yahoo, but didn't find any listed for 2010, by any manufacturers.
bren5666 Report post Posted March 4, 2010 from what I've heard, the only molded flaps available so far are from the dealer. After seeing the size of the dealer flaps, I refuse to spend the money they want for them. They are useless! They may look and fit ok, but will not protect anything.
stantaulbee Report post Posted March 10, 2010 I bought them when I got my 2010 Fusion SE. The front ones work well, but the back ones are VERY short and don't do much to protect the car. They were WAY overpriced.

They were WAY overpriced. Overpriced and probably created only for looks.. to match the ones on the front. But, since I had them I put them on.
