Projector headlights on 1 st gen Fusion

Don't those narrow the throw of the lights?

Not at all, I've hated the output of my headlights (lowbeams, highs were fine) on my '07 since the day I bought it in March of '07. I've gone from Piaa Extreme White halogens , to hid's in the reflector housing, and now these...Lexus RX330 projectors using Philips D2S hid's, These have, by far the widest pattern and sharpest cutoff I've seen yet on this car. I'd never go back to a reflector housing in this car. *This pic was taken right after I installed the new headlights, so they weren't aimed yet.

Looks pretty cool. The only time I drive at night is when I come home from work and nobody else is on the road anyhow. What are the odds of them getting too hot and melting the lens?

Hi Oblivion. :D Just as an FYI, so people do not get confused: That $695 price does not include the headlight housing. The customer (us) must supply the headlight housings.

 

In other words, the customer must purchase or send a pair of headlights to the company for retrofitting and pay $695. That means we must either pay them another $250 for a pair of headlights, buy a second set of headlights to send for retrofitting, or send the ones on our cars (and drive around with no headlights for god knows how long). While hopefully this company has the process down to a more manageable time frame, ask kevjur how long it took for his to be made, as he had quite a wait. So assuming a person buys two headlight housings (from Advanced Lights or on their own) so they can use their car while waiting, the true cost will be closer to $1,000 (or more) when all is said and done.

 

Not trying to talk anyone out of it, just trying to put the actual cost in perspective.

yes that is true!!!! i was so excited about it that i did not provide the extra information/caveats :)... and when you add the extra cost for an HID kit (yes we know those are not DOT) it would get to 1000$ :L)
