iNexxFear Report post Posted June 11, 2009 Hi All, I've just recieved my new Ford Fusion, and need to connect my iPod Classic to it. Does anyone know how long it takes to index an iPod with approximately 9000 songs on it? I just don't want to start the index and make it to a destination without the process becoming complete.... Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated.

akirby Report post Posted May 4, 2010 Hey what is "indexing" anyways??? Sync builds a list of the songs so that it can look them up when you use voice commands.
resq1diver Report post Posted May 4, 2010 I believe it depends on a few things, like the format that your music is, what other stuff is on there, or missing...I use my iphone, with 750 songs, and it can be 10 mins..and, you can end up indexing again if you turn the motor off, leave and come back....so what some has been doing is getting a FD (flash drive), and keep all your music on it and leave it in the car...that or use a disk and save it to the cars hd...tho 9000 songs would take forever...haha but check out the syncmyride.com a big help there
