2012 FFH Dealer mis doings

Recommended Posts

My wife's 2012 FFH that has less than 65,000 miles on it had the alltrac alarm show up on March 28th.  It then stranded her with the "stop safely" so we had it towed to a Ford dealership.  When they got it they said it was the 12v battery so they changed that and with diagnostic was over $500.

We got the car back on April 3 and then got the same alarms and died on April 4.  Had it towed back to the dealership on the 5th.  Then on April 9th they called and said it needed a new transmission which would've $15k and $6k labor.  The sales guy said he would give us $500 trade in for the vehicle.

Today we had went and gotten the paper work and had it towed to another service center that works on hybrid cars.  While looking through the paper work it stated odometer tampering so then we noticed that back in May of 2024;the car had 58,000 miles when the state did emissions testing and then on 3/28/2025 it had over 96k miles on it.  My wife drives about 20 miles per week.  Why would they roll the odometer forward?

Please I really need to know and why would they say these cars rarely have transmission problems?
