2014 Fusion Titanium Hybrid 12v Icon

Recommended Posts

I want to perform a BMS reset, but I don't see the 12v icon on my display when I start it up in accessory mode. Is there a setting to make it visible?

I checked my Fusion as well. When you switch on the car without actually starting it, it displays all the dashboard lights. I don't see one for 12v or batteries which is probably why you're not seeing it either.

Did you just replace the battery?

Yes, I did, and I wanted to reset the BMS following the instructions on the YouTube videos, but if there is no 12v battery icon on the dashboard I have no way of knowing if the reset was successful, since the icon is supposed to flash once the BMS has been reset.

Thanks. I’ll try not to. There was a two or three day gap between when I removed the old battery and installed the new one. I assumed that I would have to reconfigure the radio presets, etc., but to my surprise when I started the car everything was intact. Does that make sense?

The car has been performing well, so I've put that concern behind me. I'm still at a loss to explain how my presets survived the battery being disconnected for a few days.

It probably saves your settings to some kind of static memory. IIRC, mine were saved too.

That was my assumption as well when I started the car and everything was as it used to be. My expectations were set by the YouTube video linked below that indicated that without connecting a memory saver prior to replacing the battery all configurations would be lost. I'm a happy camper since I didn't have to reconfigure everything from scratch. Thanks for your insights.
