200K 2014 fusion, has anyone had orig. battery last this long?

Recommended Posts

Just curious. I have taken great care of my car...aka usual maintenance and talked to it nicely:)

It has worked great except for some minor issues, that others on forum have mentioned

(warnings re brake system etc, most recent one is the tire kit replacement which was stolen a long time ago. We carry a full size 'spare' tire in the back seat and it has come in handy!).

I have never had to replace brakes yet. I used it for my job in home health, hence the high miles. I have replaced the smaller battery x 2. Everything I have read says the larger battery should go by 135-150K. How much life do you think this buggy has? Anyone else got over 200K on original larger battery?  Has been a great car!

My Ford 2013 is now close to 200K and I am surprised the battery hasn't been an issue yet. Took it to a mechanic for a warning message but it got cleared out and everything seems fine. He did mention that the battery is slowing down and consider my options.

I've had little issue until about a year ago when a sensor went faulty and it was dangerous to drive because I couldn't control the steering wheel. They replaced the part ($1600) and it's been fine.
It's a great car, I just wish when something happens it's a bit more of a warning.

Either way, I've enjoyed this car. Just basic repairs (brakes, one strut, etc.) nothing major.
